Overview
The TACO Marine V11-3447 Kit is a flexible vinyl rub rail replacement kit for small boats that need practical hull edge protection and a clean finished profile. The rub rail profile measures 1-1/4" high x 15/16" wide and is used on many 16 to 22 foot boat applications, including fish boats, bay boats, flats boats, and commercial workboats.
This kit is built around a flexible vinyl rail with a matching insert, so it can follow the shape of the hull and cushion normal contact with docks, pilings, and other close-quarters impacts. The continuous coil format helps reduce joints during installation, which is especially useful when replacing an older rub rail around the full perimeter of a fiberglass boat.
Key features
- Flexible vinyl rub rail profile measures 1-1/4" high x 15/16" wide for small boat rub rail replacement projects.
- Soft durometer vinyl helps absorb everyday bumps from docks, pilings, and tight marina handling.
- Continuous coil format supports a one-piece run around the boat with fewer cut points.
- Tight-radius bends can be made with minimal heat, which helps during bow and transom corner installation.
- Available in 50 foot and 70 foot kit lengths, with black or Arctic White rail and insert color combinations.
- Made in the USA and covered by a 5-year limited warranty.
Variants
This flexible vinyl rub rail kit is offered in multiple configurations for length, rail color, and insert color. All variants use the same V11-3447 flexible vinyl rub rail profile, with the same 1-1/4" x 15/16" cross section.
The main choice is the amount of rail needed for the boat and the color combination that matches the hull, deck line, or existing trim. Black gives a more traditional rub rail look, while Arctic White blends better with lighter fiberglass finishes.
- V11-3447BWK50-2: 50 feet, black rail, Arctic White insert. This option keeps the outside rail dark while adding a lighter insert line for contrast against white or light-colored hulls.
- V11-3447BBK50-2: 50 feet, black rail, black insert. This configuration gives the rub rail a uniform black appearance along the hull edge.
- V11-3447BBK70-2: 70 feet, black rail, black insert. The longer coil suits boats that need more perimeter coverage while keeping the same all-black finish.
- V11-3447WWK50-2: 50 feet, Arctic White rail, Arctic White insert. This version gives the rub rail a lighter look that pairs well with white fiberglass and bright topside trim.

Installation and fit
This kit is a good match for boat owners replacing a worn, faded, cracked, or damaged rub rail during a restoration or hull refresh. Before ordering, measure the full rub rail path around the boat, including the bow and transom corners, then allow enough extra length for trimming and final fitting.
The flexible vinyl construction is helpful around curved sections where a rigid profile would be harder to work. Basic hand tools are typically enough for the job, but careful layout, consistent fastener spacing, and a clean hull flange make a noticeable difference in the finished result.
Use on board
On small fishing boats, bay boats, flats boats, and workboats, the rub rail is one of the first contact points during docking, rafting, loading, and trailer handling. This kit gives the hull edge a replaceable cushion while also restoring the visual line between the hull and deck.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team.
