Overview

The Garmin 010-10253-00 is a suction cup transducer adapter that lets you temporarily mount a transom-mount transducer to the side of a boat when you are running a portable fishfinder setup.

It is a practical way to move a Garmin echo, echoMAP, Fishfinder, or GPSMAP unit between boats without drilling a transom bracket. The adapter is compact for storage and ships at about 0.25 lb.

Key features
  • Attaches a transom-mount transducer to the side of the boat using a suction cup mount, keeping the install removable
  • Useful for portable fishfinder setups and swapping a display between multiple boats without adding new holes
  • Works with transom-mount style transducers used on Garmin echo, echoMAP, Fishfinder, and GPSMAP systems
  • Quick to remove for trailering, beaching, or when the boat is back on the lift
  • Lightweight accessory that stores easily with portable sonar gear
Compatibility and fit

This adapter is meant for transom-mount transducers that normally attach to a bracket on the transom. It is not a match for through-hull or in-hull puck style transducers.

For a secure hold, the suction cup needs a smooth, clean surface. Textured hulls, heavy bottom paint buildup, or sharp strakes can make suction mounts less predictable, so placement matters.

Installation and setup

Clean the mounting area, wet the suction cup lightly, then press the cup firmly to remove air and lock it in place. Position the transducer so the face sits in the water where it will stay flooded and read cleanly, then route the cable so it cannot snag on cleats, rails, or a boarding ladder.

Before you leave the dock, confirm the mount is seated and the cable has strain relief. A quick re-check after the first few minutes on the water is a good habit for any removable mount.

Use notes on board

This style of mount is commonly used on rental boats, small skiffs, tenders, and boats where the electronics move between platforms. It is also handy for short-term testing when you are comparing transducer locations before committing to a permanent transom install.

When the boat comes out of the water, remove the adapter so the cup is not stressed by drying heat or trailering vibration.

Maintenance and care

Rinse with fresh water after saltwater use and wipe the suction surface clean so grit does not reduce sealing. Store it out of direct sun when possible and keep the cup from being crushed in a tight gear bin.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
