Overview
The TACO Marine V30-1008 is a 1/4 inch opening x 1/2 inch flex trim made for finishing exposed edges on boats, hatches, panels, lockers, consoles, and other areas where a clean edge matters. It uses flexible PVC construction, so it can follow curved surfaces and tight contours without needing a rigid molded part.
Inside the trim, individual aluminum clips and a gripping tongue help the profile hold onto the edge once installed. That makes it useful for refit work, OEM-style finishing, and replacing worn trim where the edge material matches the 1/4 inch opening.
Key features
- 1/4 inch opening with a 1/2 inch outside profile for finishing compatible panel and edge thicknesses.
- Flexible PVC body follows curved edges, radius corners, and irregular boat surfaces more easily than rigid trim.
- Integrated interior aluminum clips and gripping tongue help the trim stay seated on the edge.
- Covers unfinished edges for a cleaner look and helps reduce exposed sharp or rough surfaces in the cockpit, cabin, hatch, or storage areas.
- Available in black or white finishes and in 25 ft or 250 ft lengths depending on the selected variant.
- Backed by a 5-year limited warranty.
Variants
This flex trim is offered in multiple configurations so the same profile can be matched to different trim runs and finish colors.
The opening size and profile stay centered on the same 1/4 inch x 1/2 inch flex trim format, while the available variants change by length and color.
- V30-1008B25-1: 25 ft length, black. This option suits shorter repair runs, cockpit edges, console openings, and dark trim areas where a black edge finish matches the surrounding hardware or upholstery.
- V30-1008W250: 250 ft length, white. This longer white roll is useful for larger refit jobs, production work, or multiple trim runs where a consistent light finish is needed across the boat.
- V30-1008W25-1: 25 ft length, white. This option works well for smaller repairs and localized finishing where white trim matches gelcoat, interior panels, or hatch surrounds.
Installation and fit
Check the thickness of the edge before installation and confirm it suits the 1/4 inch opening. The trim should press over the edge with even contact along the run, and the flexible body makes it easier to work around curves than a rigid extrusion.
For best results, clean the mounting edge before fitting the trim and test the route before final placement. On long runs, take time around corners and radius sections so the profile sits evenly without twisting.
Use cases on board
This trim is a practical match for boat owners, yards, and builders who need a neat finish on exposed fiberglass, plastic, or panel edges. Common uses include hatch openings, cockpit storage areas, cabin panels, helm consoles, and other areas where an unfinished edge would look rough or feel sharp.
The color and roll length make the main difference when planning the job: 25 ft is convenient for repairs and single-area projects, while 250 ft is better suited to larger work where the same trim profile is used repeatedly.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
