Overview
This Blue Sea Systems AC rotary source selector switch is a panel-mount AC power source selector for routing one 120/240V AC source to a single load circuit on a boat. It is a 3-pole, 65A rotary switch with an OFF position, built for AC systems where the source selector is separate from the circuit protection.
The switch is used in shore power, generator, and inverter-style AC distribution layouts where the operator needs one clear control point for selecting the active source. The 3-pole layout switches both AC hot lines and neutral, which is important in split-phase 120/240V marine AC systems.
The range covers 2-source and 3-source configurations. Both versions are rated for 240V AC nominal service, 600V AC maximum voltage, and panel mounting in material up to 0.16 in thick.
Key features
- 3-pole AC rotary switching for both hot lines and neutral in 120/240V AC source-selection layouts.
- 65A maximum amperage rating for higher-capacity AC distribution panels.
- Single load circuit output, with source count based on the selected variant.
- OFF position included, so the AC load circuit can be disconnected from the available sources at the selector.
- Mounts in panels up to 0.16 in, or 4.00 mm, thick.
- 600V AC maximum voltage rating and 240V AC nominal rating.
- UL listed for use in properly installed AC electrical systems.
- Suited to panels where circuit protection is already handled elsewhere in the AC distribution system.
Variants
This product is offered in two source-selection configurations for different AC layouts.
The source count and switch position count change between variants. The 3-pole construction, 65A rating, single load circuit output, 240V AC nominal rating, 600V AC maximum rating, and 0.16 in maximum panel thickness remain consistent across both versions.
- 9019: Source Selection 2 Sources. This version has 2 positions plus OFF and is commonly used where one load circuit is selected between two AC sources, such as shore power and generator.
- 9077: Source Selection 3 Sources. This version has 3 positions plus OFF for systems that need one additional selectable AC source while still feeding a single load circuit.
Installation and setup
This switch is meant for panel mounting in an AC distribution layout. It belongs in a dry, serviceable electrical panel location where the operator can clearly see and use the selector, and where wiring can be secured against vibration and strain.
Because the selector does not replace overcurrent protection, the AC sources and load circuit should be protected by the correct breakers or fuses elsewhere in the system. Installation should follow marine AC wiring practices, including proper conductor sizing, terminal torque, source labeling, and verification that only one AC source can feed the load circuit through the selector at a time.
Compatibility and fit
This range is a match for boats using 120/240V AC source selection with one output load circuit. It is relevant for cruisers, sportfishing boats, and larger vessels that manage shore power and onboard AC generation from a dedicated electrical panel.
The main fit decision is the number of AC sources that need to be selected. The 2-source version keeps the panel simpler when only two inputs are present, while the 3-source version supports an added AC source in the same basic switch family.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
