Overview
This JL Audio panel-mount audio connector is a clean way to bring USB and or 3.5 mm AUX access to a helm, dash, or cabin panel while keeping the stereo connections tucked behind the bulkhead.
Each version mounts through a drilled hole and tightens from the backside with a plastic wing-nut. A labeled rubber cover closes over the port between uses, which helps keep spray and grime out when the boat is underway or the cockpit is getting rinsed down.
Cable length depends on the configuration: USB and combo options use a 6 ft (1.83 m) harness for routing to equipment behind the dash, while the AUX-only lead is 20 in (0.51 m) for short runs to a nearby input.
Key features
- Panel-mount access point for USB and or 3.5 mm AUX, depending on the connection type selected
- Backside wing-nut mounting on flat panels, with a rubber cover that seals over the opening between uses
- Mounting hole size varies by configuration: 0.75 in (19 mm) on the single USB and AUX versions, and 1.125 in (29 mm) on the combo and dual USB versions
- USB harness length is 6 ft (1.83 m) on USB, AUX and USB, and dual USB configurations for flexible routing behind consoles
- AUX-only version uses a 20 in (0.51 m) lead for compact installs
Variants
This item is offered in multiple connection configurations so the panel port matches the inputs you already have on board.
The USB versions extend a USB connection to an easy-to-reach location, while the AUX version brings a 3.5 mm stereo input to the panel and breaks out to left and right RCA behind the panel for tying into an auxiliary input. The combo and dual USB options add additional ports at the same mounting point. The single USB and AUX versions mount on panels up to 1 in (25.4 mm) thick, while the dual USB version supports panels up to 1.25 in (32 mm) thick.
- 010-13563-00: Connection Type USB. A single USB pass-through at the panel for connecting a device where it is easy to reach.
- 010-13564-00: Connection Type AUX. A 3.5 mm stereo input at the panel with stereo RCA breakout for connection behind the scenes.
- 010-13421-00: Connection Type AUX & USB. Combines a 3.5 mm AUX jack and a USB port in one panel location so both analog and USB sources can share the same access point.
- 010-13678-00: Connection Type Dual USB. Two USB ports at the panel for connecting multiple devices from the same mounting spot.
Compatibility and fit
These connectors extend existing inputs; they do not convert signals. Match the rear connections to your equipment inputs (USB to USB, and AUX to an analog auxiliary input using the RCA breakout).
USB playback and charging behavior depends on the head unit and the device being connected. For clean results on a boat, keep the cable run away from high-current wiring where possible and avoid tight bends right at the back of the port.
Installation and setup
Choose a flat mounting surface where the cap can close fully and the cable can be routed without chafe. Drill the correct hole for the selected configuration, insert the connector from the front, then tighten the plastic wing-nut from the backside. In exposed helm locations, leave a small drip loop behind the panel and secure the cable to reduce vibration wear.
Use on board
This setup makes sense when the stereo is installed inside a console, under a seat, or behind a cabin panel and you still want day-to-day access to AUX or USB at the helm. It is a good match for boats that get rinsed down often and for installs where you want a port you can reach without opening a hatch.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
