Overview
The Blue Sea Systems AC Toggle Source Selector is a 120V AC marine selector panel for switching between two AC sources while keeping the boat’s AC distribution clean and controlled. It is built around double pole AC main breakers and an installed lockout slide, so both sources cannot be connected at the same time.
This panel fits common shore power and generator selection layouts on boats that use 120V AC service. The panel face measures 3.75 in high by 5.25 in wide, with the available configurations covering 30A double pole and 50A double pole main breaker ratings.
Pre-wired hot, neutral, and safety ground buses help reduce wiring time during installation. Backlit label positions, green ON indication, and a red reverse polarity indicator make the panel easier to read and check at the dock, in the cabin, or at the main AC distribution area.
Key features
- Two-source AC selector panel for 120V AC marine electrical systems.
- Double pole AC main circuit breakers switch both conductors for proper AC source control.
- Installed lockout slide helps prevent both AC sources from being connected at once.
- Red reverse polarity LED gives a visible warning when shore power polarity is incorrect.
- Hot, neutral, and safety ground buses are installed and pre-wired for a cleaner panel installation.
- Backlit circuit label positions are included on the standard panel with no separate kit required.
- Green ON indicating LEDs are installed in the circuit positions for quick status checks.
- Compact 3.75 in by 5.25 in panel size suits refits, upgrades, and AC source selection stations where helm or electrical panel space is limited.
Variants
This selector panel is offered in two 120V AC configurations for boats with different main breaker requirements.
The nominal AC voltage, two-source layout, panel size, lockout slide, reverse polarity indication, pre-wired buses, backlit label positions, and ON indication are consistent across the range. The main breaker rating and installed double pole breaker set change by variant.
- 8032: 120V AC with 30A double pole main breakers. This configuration matches boats using a 30A AC main service where the selector needs to switch between two available AC sources.
- 8061: 120V AC with 50A double pole main breakers. This configuration suits installations that require a 50A AC main breaker rating while keeping the same two-source selector layout.
Installation and setup
The panel is meant for AC source selection, so installation should be handled with the same care as any shore power or generator circuit. It belongs in a protected electrical panel location where the breaker handles, source labels, and polarity indicator remain easy to see and reach.
The pre-wired buses help keep the wiring layout organized, but final wiring still needs to match the vessel’s AC system, breaker rating, conductor sizing, and applicable marine electrical practices. The lockout slide is part of the operating layout and should remain unobstructed after mounting.
Use cases on board
This panel is a practical match for boats that need to select between two 120V AC inputs, such as shore power and a generator, or two shore power inlets where the vessel’s system is arranged that way. It is especially useful during panel upgrades where source selection and main circuit protection need to be grouped in one compact place.
The visible ON indicators and reverse polarity warning are helpful during dockside connection checks, while the backlit labeling supports quicker identification in low-light cabin or electrical locker locations.
What’s included
- Two A-Series white toggle circuit breakers matched to the selected breaker rating: 30A double pole on 8032 or 50A double pole on 8061.
- Basic AC panel label set with 30 labels.
- Two 120V AC green LED indicators.
- One 120V AC red LED indicator.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
