Overview
The Lumitec 101296 is a high-output LED engine room and utility light that throws 1000 lumens of white light across a 180-degree spread. It runs on 10 to 30 VDC and is sealed to an IP67 rating for bilge splash, washdowns, and the damp air that lives in lockers and machinery spaces.
The housing is a compact 5 in wide, 2.5 in high, and 0.63 in deep, so it fits where longer strip lights do not. Light color is 5000K with a CRI of 70+, which helps when you are tracing wire colors, reading labels, or spotting leaks.
It is ignition protected for installation in mechanical spaces and compartments, including gasoline engine areas. Power draw is about 1.3A on a 12V system and 600mA on a 24V system.
Key features
- 1000 integrating-sphere tested lumens with a 180-degree beam to light up wide, hard-to-reach corners
- 10 to 30 VDC input for common 12V and 24V onboard systems
- IP67 sealed enclosure for wet compartments and routine washdowns
- Ignition protected for use in mechanical spaces and gasoline engine compartments
- 5000K white output with CRI 70+ for clearer visibility when servicing equipment
- Compact footprint: 5 in x 2.5 in face and 0.63 in depth
- Works with most PWM LED dimmers for installations that want light level control from the circuit
What’s included
- NevisLT light fixture
- #6 self-tapping mounting screws
Installation and setup
Mount the light to a flat surface using the supplied screws, and plan your wire routing before drilling. The wiring can pass through a wire exit behind the fixture, or it can be run along the mounting surface if that suits your installation.
The unit can get warm during normal use. Avoid placing it in a tight pocket that blocks airflow, since restricted ventilation can trigger a thermal reduction or shutdown until it cools.
Electrical and system integration
Connect to DC power with correct polarity, since the device is polarity sensitive. Protect the circuit with an appropriately sized fuse or breaker, and size wire gauge for the run length and load, especially when multiple lights share one circuit.
For engine rooms and other damp spaces, sealed wire-to-wire connections help prevent corrosion at the splice point.
Compatibility and fit
The face measures 5.00 in by 2.50 in, with mounting hole centers spaced about 4.37 in (lengthwise) and 1.88 in (heightwise). With a 0.63 in depth, it works well under deck plates, inside lazarettes, under gunwales, and on bulkheads where clearance is limited.
Use cases on board
This light is a solid match for owners who need a bright service light for filters, pumps, strainers, and electrical panels in cramped compartments. It also works well in storage lockers and utility spaces where a wide beam helps reduce shadows.
Maintenance and care
Since the housing is sealed, routine care is mostly a wipe-down and a quick check that wiring, splices, and fasteners stay tight after seasonal vibration and heat cycles.
Safety and compliance
This product carries a California Proposition 65 warning for cancer and reproductive harm.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
