Overview

The TACO Marine H25-0023 is an 18-1/2" Command Ratchet Hinge pair for boat seating applications such as sun pads, bolsters, and lounge backrests. It uses polished Type 316L stainless steel with brass bearings and has one locking position at 61.5 degrees, giving longer backrests a fixed support angle without the look of exposed brackets.

This hinge set is made for longer seating layouts, with support for seatbacks up to 22" long and cushions up to 4" thick. It is a practical fit for cockpit lounges, aft sun pads, pontoon seating, and custom helm or deck seating where the backrest needs to lift, ratchet, and return to horizontal.

Key features
  • 18-1/2" hinge length for longer sun pad, bolster, and lounge backrest installations
  • One locking position at 61.5 degrees for a fixed supported backrest angle
  • Polished Type 316L stainless steel construction with brass bearings
  • Supports seatbacks up to 22" long and cushions up to 4" thick
  • Meets ABYC H-31 Class B seating application requirements, with a 500 ft-lb torque load rating for the pair
  • Passed a 500-hour salt fog test for use in exposed marine seating areas
  • Countersunk for #10 fasteners or 1/4-20 bolts
  • Sold as a pair with a 5-year limited warranty
Installation and fit

These hinges mount above deck and work well in seating areas where the hardware remains visible, such as lounge modules, sun pad assemblies, and raised backrest sections. The countersunk mounting pattern accepts #10 fasteners or 1/4-20 bolts, so the final fastener choice should match the seat structure, backing material, and load path on the boat.

Because seating hardware sees movement, vibration, and shifting passenger weight, the hinge pair should be installed on a sound mounting surface with proper backing where needed. Check the backrest length, cushion thickness, hinge spacing, and clearance through the full range of motion before final drilling.

Materials and use on board

The polished 316L stainless finish suits exposed seating hardware in cockpits, swim platform lounges, bow seating, and other wet areas where appearance and corrosion resistance both matter. Brass bearings add support at the pivot point, while the salt fog test rating gives useful confidence for boats that live around spray, washdowns, and coastal air.

This pair is a good match for owners, builders, and refit shops working on longer marine seatbacks that need a clean ratcheting support rather than a loose cushion or separate prop arm. It keeps the hardware simple, visible, and serviceable while giving the backrest a defined raised position.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
