The TACO Marine Large SuproFlex Rub Rail is a semi-rigid vinyl rub rail for replacing or upgrading hull protection on medium to large boats. This Large V11-9970 profile measures 2.5 in. x 1 in. and is supplied in 100 ft. lengths, giving installers enough material for a clean run around many center consoles, fishing boats, cruisers, and similar hulls.

Its co-extruded construction combines a rigid backing with a softer front face, so the rail can follow the shape of the hull while still giving the boat a protective edge at docks, pilings, and alongside other vessels. Shock-absorbing channels help manage contact at the rub rail instead of transferring every bump straight to the hull joint.

Variants

This rub rail is offered in two color configurations for matching the look of the hull, deck joint, and existing trim.

The profile, 100 ft. length, insert compatibility, and screw spacing remain the same across these listed variants. The visible rub rail color is the main difference.

• V11-9970WHA100D: Arctic White. This finish keeps the rail visually close to many white gelcoat hulls and gives the boat a clean replacement look after a rub rail refit.
• V11-9970BKA100-1: Black. This color gives the hull edge a stronger visual outline and works well when the boat already uses black trim, black hardware accents, or a darker rub rail.

Installation and fit

This rail is made for installers who need a profile that can follow common hull shapes without the extra work of pre-forming. Minimal heat may still be useful around tighter bends, especially near the bow or molded corners, but the flexible SuproFlex body helps the rail sit cleanly along the hull-to-deck joint.

For a proper installation, plan the screw spacing before starting the run and confirm that the V12-9980 insert matches the finish and appearance you want. The insert is sold separately, so it should be selected as part of the full rub rail job rather than treated as an included item.
