Overview

The Garmin 010-13230-00 is a fairing block that mounts a Panoptix PS70 thru-hull down transducer so the transducer face sits parallel to the waterline. It is recommended for hull deadrise angles from 5 to 20 degrees, which helps keep the sonar aimed correctly when the mounting surface is not flat.

The block is trimmed to match the hull angle at the install location, then the transducer is installed through it as part of the thru-hull assembly. An anti-rotation bolt is included to help keep the transducer from twisting once everything is tightened and sealed.

Key features
  • Fits Panoptix PS70 thru-hull down transducer installations
  • Sets the transducer face parallel to the waterline for consistent down-looking alignment
  • Recommended for hull deadrise angles from 5 to 20 degrees
  • Forward-direction arrows and a maximum cut line help guide correct shaping and orientation
  • Includes an anti-rotation bolt to help prevent the assembly from turning after installation
Installation and setup

Shape the fairing block to match the hull angle within the 20 degree limit, following the cut guidance on the block. During installation, the molded arrows should point toward the bow so the block and transducer are oriented correctly relative to the water flow.

This is a below-the-waterline installation, so careful bedding and sealing matter. Plan the location so the transducer has clean water at speed and so you have adequate internal access for tightening and periodic inspection.

Compatibility and fit

This fairing block is for the Panoptix PS70 thru-hull down transducer and is used when the hull surface has enough angle that the transducer would otherwise point off-axis. It is most relevant on boats with moderate deadrise at the intended mounting spot.

Before ordering, confirm the deadrise where the transducer will sit and check clearance inside the hull for the transducer body and fastening hardware.

Use on board

This setup is a good match for anglers and cruisers running a PS70 on a hull that is not flat at the transducer location, where keeping the sensor pointed straight down helps the sonar picture stay consistent in deeper water and at typical running speeds.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
