Overview
The JL Audio Premium Power Marine Connection Kit is a 12 V power and ground wiring set for feeding a single marine amplifier, with configurations matched to a 10 ft, 12 ft, or 20 ft run from the battery to the amp location.
The 6 AWG configurations support amplifier power feeds up to a 50A protection device and include a 50A manual-reset marine circuit breaker that is IP67-rated and SAE J1171 external ignition protected, with stainless steel connection points. The 9 AWG configuration is set up for a 30A MAXI fuse and fuse holder. Across the range, the conductors are true AWG-spec, pure OFC copper with tinning to slow corrosion in damp compartments.
Key features
- Multiple distance options for routing from battery to amplifier location: 10 ft, 12 ft, or 20 ft
- Choice of 6 AWG or 9 AWG tinned power and ground wiring, depending on the configuration
- ABYC-standard wire colors to keep power, ground, and remote turn-on runs easy to trace during install and service
- 6 AWG configurations include a 50A manual-reset marine circuit breaker with IP67 rating and SAE J1171 ignition protection, plus stainless connection points
- 9 AWG configuration includes a 30A MAXI fuse and fuse holder for overcurrent protection
Variants
This product is offered in multiple configurations so you can match the wiring to the one-way distance between the battery and the amplifier mounting location.
Across the variants, the main differences are the supported run length and the overcurrent protection method (circuit breaker or fuse), along with the wire gauge. Each configuration includes color-coded power, ground, and remote turn-on wiring for a single-amplifier install.
- 010-13417-00: Distance to battery 10 ft. This length fits shorter routing paths where the amplifier is mounted close to the battery feed, and it uses a 50A manual-reset marine circuit breaker for protection.
- 010-13649-00: Distance to battery 12 ft. This length covers moderate routing paths through consoles and lockers, and it uses a 30A MAXI fuse with fuse holder for overcurrent protection.
- 010-13418-00: Distance to battery 20 ft. This length supports longer routing paths through rigging chases and under-deck runs, and it uses a 50A manual-reset marine circuit breaker for protection.
Installation and setup
Measure the actual one-way cable path you will run on the boat, not a straight-line measurement. Plan for a clean route through existing chases or rigging tubes where possible, then add a little extra for bends, service loops, and routing around bulkheads.
Mount the circuit breaker or fuse holder close to the battery connection and secure the wiring so it cannot move and rub on fiberglass edges, hinges, or sharp hardware. Use grommets anywhere the wire passes through a panel, and re-check fasteners after the first few trips since vibration can loosen new installs.
Compatibility and fit
This kit is intended for 12 V DC audio power distribution to a single amplifier. The 6 AWG options are paired with a 50A circuit breaker, while the 9 AWG option is paired with a 30A MAXI fuse and fuse holder, so the configuration should match the protection level used by your amplifier and wiring plan.
It is a good match for a one-amplifier stereo upgrade on boats where you want color-coded marine audio wiring and a protection device that is easy to service without piecing together separate wire runs and hardware.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
