Overview
The Lopolight 201-010 is a 225° white LED masthead light for vertical mounting, rated for 2 NM visibility on vessels under 12 m.
It runs on 10-32 VDC, so it fits both 12V and 24V systems without a converter. Power draw is 2 W, with typical current around 137 mA at 12V and 80 mA at 24V, which keeps the load light on smaller electrical systems.
The housing is anodized aluminum finished in silver with a PMMA lens, and the unit is IP68-rated for wet marine locations when installed correctly. At roughly 74.6 x 28 x 73.2 mm (2.9 x 1.1 x 2.88 in) and about 0.42 kg (14.8 oz), it fits cleanly on masts, arches, and hardtops where space is tight.
Key features
- 225° white masthead light with 2 NM visibility, intended for vessels under 12 m (39 ft).
- 10-32 VDC input for 12V and 24V systems, with 2 W power draw (about 137 mA @ 12V and 80 mA @ 24V).
- IP68 rating for exposure to spray and washdowns when the cable entry and mounting surface are sealed properly.
- Anodized aluminum housing finished in silver with a PMMA lens, supplied with A4 stainless mounting screws.
- Pre-cabled with approximately 0.75 m (2.5 ft) shielded marine-grade cable to simplify routing to a junction point or switch panel.
- Compact size and weight for cleaner installs: 74.6 x 28 x 73.2 mm (2.9 x 1.1 x 2.88 in), about 0.42 kg (14.8 oz).
- Approved to COLREG72 and EN14744, with additional listings including IEC 60945 and IACS E10 and approvals noted for USCG, ABS, M.E.D., DNV, and LR.
Compatibility and fit
This light is used as the 225° masthead (steaming) light in a standard navigation-light arrangement, typically shown when a sailboat is under power or on power-driven vessels that require a masthead light. Since requirements vary by vessel length and configuration, confirm that a 2 NM masthead light is the correct requirement for your boat and where it needs to sit relative to other navigation lights.
Installation and setup
The vertical mount format is meant to be fastened to a flat, stable surface on the vessel centerline with the lens oriented forward so the 225° arc covers ahead and out to each side. Pick a location where sails, antennas, rigging, or rails will not shadow the light, then route the pre-attached cable to a dry connection point using strain relief so vibration does not work the wiring loose over time.
Electrical and system integration
Wire it into a switched navigation-light circuit that matches your onboard voltage. Even with the low current draw, use marine tinned wire and sealed connectors, and keep splices in a protected area when possible. A properly sized fuse or breaker on the nav light feed is still important for protecting the wiring run.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the housing and lens after saltwater use and avoid abrasive cleaners on the lens. Periodically check that the mounting fasteners stay tight and that the cable entry remains sealed, especially if the light is mounted where it takes frequent spray or deck washdowns.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
