Overview
The Blue Sea Systems C-Series Lockout Slide is a mechanical interlock accessory for C-Series AC circuit breakers, used when a boat has two AC power sources that must not be energized at the same time. It lets only one breaker in the paired source selector arrangement be switched on, helping keep shore power, generator, or inverter feeds from being connected together.
This part fits C-Series double pole or triple pole circuit breakers, depending on the selected version. It uses the existing circuit breaker mounting screw holes, so it can be added to a compatible AC panel without special panel modification.
Key features
- Allows only one of a pair of AC circuit breakers to be activated at a time.
- Helps prevent two AC sources, such as shore power and a generator or inverter, from being mixed.
- Fits Blue Sea Systems C-Series circuit breakers in double pole or triple pole configurations.
- Installs using the circuit breaker mounting screw holes already present on the panel.
- Does not require special panel modification when used with compatible C-Series breakers.
- Useful for AC source selection panels on cruising boats, fishing boats, and vessels with shore power plus onboard AC generation or inversion.
Variants
This lockout slide is offered in two configurations to match the breaker pole arrangement used in the AC panel.
The pole count is the key difference between the variants. The function remains focused on source lockout for compatible C-Series AC circuit breakers.
- 4130: Pole 2. This version is for a 2-position, 2-pole C-Series circuit breaker setup where two AC sources need mechanical lockout control.
- 4131: Pole 3. This version is for a 2-position, 3-pole C-Series circuit breaker setup, often used where the AC source switching arrangement requires three-pole breaker control.
Installation and setup
The lockout slide mounts at the breaker face using the existing circuit breaker mounting screw holes. This keeps the installation straightforward for panel builders, marine electricians, and boat owners updating an AC source selection panel.
Before installation, confirm the breaker family and pole count in the panel. The slide must match the double pole or triple pole C-Series breaker arrangement being used, since the two versions are not interchangeable by pole count.
Electrical source control
This accessory is a good match for boats with more than one AC input or supply path, such as shore power with a generator, or shore power with an inverter feed. In those systems, the lockout slide adds a simple mechanical layer that supports safe source selection at the breaker panel.
It is not a substitute for proper AC system design, wiring, labeling, or overcurrent protection. It should be installed as part of a correctly configured marine AC panel using compatible Blue Sea Systems C-Series breakers.
