Overview
The Garmin USB-C Vehicle Power Cable is a USB-C power lead for compatible Garmin navigators when you want simple power from a 12 V accessory socket on board. It is commonly used at the helm or in the cabin on boats that have a vehicle-style 12 V outlet, and it is offered in configurations that may include the 12 V adapter and an additional USB charging port.
This cable is also built with a traffic antenna that works with compatible navigators that have an embedded traffic receiver. Known compatible devices include Garmin DriveSmart 66, DriveSmart 76, DriveSmart 86, DriveCam 76, dezl OTR610, dezl OTR710, dezlCam OTR710, RV 795, and RVcam 795.
Key features
- USB-C connector for Garmin navigators that use the USB-C vehicle power cable format
- Configurations available with or without the 12 V accessory-socket adapter, depending on how you prefer to power your setup
- Optional extra USB charging port on the adapter on select configurations for running a second device
- Traffic antenna built into the cable for compatible navigators with an embedded traffic receiver
- Commonly used with DriveSmart 66, 76, and 86, DriveCam 76, dezl OTR610 and OTR710, dezlCam OTR710, RV 795, and RVcam 795
Variants
This product is offered in multiple configurations.
The options in this range vary by whether a 12 V adapter is included and whether the adapter includes an extra USB charging port.
- 010-13199-04: Includes 12 V adapter: Yes. Extra USB port: No. This version is set up for powering the navigator from a boat or vehicle 12 V accessory socket without adding a separate charger.
- 010-13199-05: Includes 12 V adapter: No. Extra USB port: No. This is a cable-only option for replacing an existing lead or pairing with a compatible adapter you already have.
- 010-13199-03: Includes 12 V adapter: Yes. Extra USB port: Yes. This version adds a second charging port at the adapter, which is useful when the helm outlet is already limited.
Compatibility and fit
Confirm your navigator uses a USB-C power input and is listed as compatible with the USB-C vehicle power cable style. If your unit uses a different connector style or a hardwired marine power harness, this is not the right lead.
If you plan to run it on a boat, it works best when the outlet and plug connection are in a protected location such as inside a console, under the dash, or in the cabin where spray and washdowns will not reach the adapter.
Installation and setup
Route the cable so it can reach the mounting location without being pulled tight, and secure it so it will not chafe on sharp edges or get pinched by hatches. A small drip loop before the navigator helps keep any moisture that finds its way into the area from running straight down the cable toward the connector.
For configurations that include the 12 V adapter, plug it into the accessory socket and connect the USB-C end to the navigator. For the cable-only configuration, make sure you have a compatible Garmin 12 V adapter or power source already in place before installation.
Use cases on board
This cable makes sense for skippers who run a compatible Garmin DriveSmart or dezl unit at the helm as a supplemental navigator, or who move the device between the boat and other vehicles and want a quick plug-in power option. It also fits tidy installs where you want to power the navigator and, on select variants, keep a phone topped up from the same outlet.
Maintenance and care
Keep the plug and adapter contacts clean and dry, and avoid leaving the connection where it will sit in standing water. If it gets salt spray on it, wipe it down with a lightly damp cloth and let it dry before stowing to reduce corrosion on the contacts.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
