Overview
The Garmin quatix 8 is an AMOLED marine GPS smartwatch that puts key helm info and controls on your wrist. It uses a 1.4-inch AMOLED display with a sapphire crystal lens, a titanium bezel, and a built-in LED flashlight, and it is dive-rated to 40 meters with leakproof metal buttons. Across the range you will see 47 mm and 51 mm case sizes, with battery life that reaches up to 16 days in smartwatch mode on 47 mm models and up to 29 days on 51 mm models (settings and always-on display use make a big difference).
When paired to a compatible Garmin chartplotter, it can stream onboard data such as depth, engine RPM, wind, and custom data fields, and it can surface marine alarms like tide changes and anchor drag. The built-in speaker and microphone also support calls when the watch is paired to a smartphone.

Variants
This product is offered in multiple configurations based on case size and version.
Case size affects wrist fit and the overall dimensions. Pro versions add built-in inReach satellite and LTE communication for messaging and SOS services; those services require an active subscription and depend on coverage.
- 010-02904-50: Case size 47 mm, Version AMOLED. This is the standard 47 mm configuration with helm control and boat data streaming when paired to compatible Garmin electronics.
- 010-03198-50: Case size 47 mm, Version Pro AMOLED. This adds built-in inReach satellite and LTE communication for messaging and SOS services where supported.
- BUNDLE-QTX8-VCB47: Case size 47 mm, Version Pro AMOLED & Voice Control Cable. This bundle pairs the 47 mm Pro watch with an included voice control cable accessory.
- 010-02905-90: Case size 51 mm, Version AMOLED. This moves to the larger case size and is commonly chosen for a bigger on-wrist fit and longer runtimes in smartwatch use.
Compatibility and integration
quatix 8 is at its best on boats that already run compatible Garmin electronics. Pairing it to a compatible Garmin chartplotter lets you view streamed boat data on the watch and interact with helm functions without staying planted at the display.
Control features depend on the devices on board, but can include voice commands for select compatible Garmin chartplotters over Bluetooth plus access to supported autopilot functions, Force trolling motor controls, and Fusion audio control.
Setup on board
Charging and initial setup are straightforward: charge the watch, pair it with your phone for setup and notifications, then pair it with your compatible Garmin chartplotter for marine data streaming and helm control. Once paired, you can acknowledge alarms, drop a waypoint, and handle selected controls while moving around the cockpit, deck, or cabin.
Materials and care in saltwater
The case uses fiber-reinforced polymer with a metal rear cover, along with a titanium bezel and sapphire crystal lens. After heavy spray or a swim, a quick rinse with fresh water helps keep salt from building up around the buttons and case, and the charging contacts should be dry and clean before charging.
Who it suits
This is a practical fit for boaters who want key boat data and select helm control on the wrist while working lines, moving forward to handle fenders, or navigating a busy cockpit. It also suits sailors who keep an eye on tide and anchor behavior and want watch-based access to race-start features during club racing.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
