Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD - VCA013R is a coastal electronic chart for compatible Garmin chartplotters covering the eastern and southern coasts of Newfoundland from St. Barbe (Strait of Belle Isle) to Hermitage Bay, including Bonavista and St. John's, plus the Labrador Coast from Forteau Bay to Nain Bay, including Lake Melville.
It layers Garmin and Navionics content with tools that help you read depth quickly, including up to 1 foot contours, Depth Range Shading for up to 10 depth ranges, and Shallow Water Shading at a user-defined depth. High-resolution satellite imagery with charts overlaid adds a more realistic view when you are lining up an approach into an unfamiliar harbor or port.
Key features
- VCA013R coverage: Newfoundland from St. Barbe to Hermitage Bay (including Bonavista and St. John's) and Labrador from Forteau Bay to Nain Bay (including Lake Melville)
- Integrated Garmin and Navionics content for coastal navigation detail
- Auto Guidance route suggestions based on your desired depth and overhead clearance settings
- Depth Range Shading supports up to 10 depth ranges so target depths stand out at a glance
- Up to 1 foot contours for a closer read on bottom structure when navigating or fishing
- Shallow Water Shading highlights water you set as too shallow for your plan
- High-resolution satellite imagery with navigational charts overlaid for more visual context around ports and landmarks
- FishEye and MarinerEye 3D views for additional perspective above and below the waterline
- Aerial photography for many ports, harbors, and marinas to help confirm what you are seeing on final approach
Variants
This chart is offered in multiple configurations so you can match how you prefer to load charts into your navigation system.
The chart region is VCA013R in both cases; what changes is the delivery format (preloaded card versus download and install).
- 010-C0698-00: Format microSD/SD. Insert the chart card into a compatible chartplotter with a microSD or SD card slot and access the region from the chart menu.
- 010-D0392-00: Format Download. Use Garmin Express to download and install the chart to a microSD/SD card for use in a compatible chartplotter.
Compatibility and fit
This is a region-specific chart product, so the key fit check is coverage: confirm your planned routes fall within the Labrador Coast and Newfoundland areas listed above. Your chartplotter must support BlueChart g3 Vision and be able to read the chart from a microSD/SD card.
Installation and setup
For the card format, power the chartplotter off, insert the microSD/SD card, then power back on and select the chart layer from the chart screen. For the download format, install the chart to a microSD/SD card with Garmin Express and then insert that card into the chartplotter.
Keep chart cards clean and dry when handling them at the helm, and avoid swapping cards during spray or washdowns. If you are loading charts by download, plan on dedicating a card to the chart you install.
Use on board
This chart is a strong match for skippers running coastal legs along Newfoundland and the Labrador Coast, and for crews who want extra visual context when entering ports and marinas. The combination of tight contours, depth shading, and 3D views is also useful when you are watching the bottom change around shoals and fishing structure.
Route suggestions and overlays are planning aids. Always cross-check your surroundings, conditions, and local information when navigating in unfamiliar waters.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
