Overview
The i2Systems LL-101-01A is a LightLink dimming module that lets one momentary push-button switch control an i2Systems dimmable LED lighting zone on board, running from a 9-36 V DC supply (12 V or 24 V systems).
Tap the switch for on and off, then press and hold to step through brightness levels. After a power cycle, it returns to the last intensity stage, which helps when a lighting circuit is fed through a breaker, battery switch, or timer.
One module can control up to 20 compatible i2Systems LED Marine/Transit fixtures, including PRO fixtures, so you can group cabin, cockpit, or companionway lights into a single zone without adding multiple dimmers to the panel.
Key features
- 9-36 V DC operating input for common 12 V and 24 V boat systems
- Controls up to 20 compatible i2Systems dimmable LED fixtures, including PRO fixtures
- Normally-open momentary switch input: tap for on/off, press and hold to dim
- Start-memory behavior restores the last intensity stage after power is cycled
- DIM (yellow) control output with a common reference; with a shared DC common, a single DIM lead can be run to each light in the zone
- Installation guidance calls for fused power and minimum 18 AWG (0.82 mm2) wiring rated to 105°C or higher
Installation and setup
Mount the module where it stays dry and accessible for service. A common approach is placing it inside the switch box that houses the momentary dimming switch, then routing the DIM control lead out to the lights in that zone.
Power wiring is straightforward: connect +DC to Vin (red) and DC common to Common (black), with a fuse in series with the Vin feed. Disconnect power before servicing and avoid feeding it from an unprotected source.
This unit is intended for dry or damp locations, not for spots where water can collect, pool, or puddle. Keep it out of bilge areas and away from spray paths inside lockers.
Compatibility and fit
This module is for controlling i2Systems dimmable LED Marine/Transit fixtures. Verify your lights are the dimmable models intended to accept the LightLink dimming signal, and plan your zones so you stay within the supported fixture count.
The control input is built around a normally-open momentary switch, and multiple momentary switches can be wired in parallel to control the same lighting zone from more than one location.
Electrical and system integration
The dimming output is provided on the DIM lead (yellow) with a common reference on the black lead. The system uses a common ground, so the LightLink and the fixtures must share DC common for the dimming signal to reference correctly.
If you are running longer control leads, keep connections clean and well-supported so they stay reliable under vibration, and route wiring away from high-heat areas and moving parts.
Use on board
This setup fits boats where you want single-button control for a lighting zone, such as a cabin overhead group, a cockpit lighting zone, or companionway lights that need quick dimming without adding a rotary control. It also suits refits where you want the lights to come back at the same brightness after a breaker cycle.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
