Overview
The Perko 1130 All-Round Light is an incandescent navigation light for vessels from 20 meters to 50 meters, or 65.6 ft to 164.0 ft, where a 360° all-round signal is required. It is part of Perko’s Figure 1130 series and is available with black or white polymer housing, several lens colors, and 2-mile or 5-mile visibility configurations depending on the selected version.
This light uses a pre-wired double contact socket with 3 ft of 16/3-SO cable, which helps simplify installation on commercial boats, larger recreational vessels, workboats, and refits where the fixture needs to tie into an existing navigation light circuit. Overall height is 7-1/2 in, lens height is 4-1/2 in, and the fixture uses 1/4 in mounting screws.
The 12V and 24V versions use 30-watt lamps matched to the system voltage, with a 120V lamp option also supported. The required bulb is not included, so the lamp voltage should be matched to the vessel’s electrical system and the identification plate on the installed light.
Key features
- All-round 360° navigation light for vessels from 20 m to 50 m in length.
- Available in black or white polymer housing to suit different deck, mast, pilothouse, or superstructure finishes.
- Lens options cover white, red, green, and yellow navigation light applications within the Figure 1130 range.
- 2-mile USCG-certified configurations are available, with 5-mile white-light versions for Great Lakes use.
- Pre-wired double contact socket with 3 ft of 16/3-SO cable reduces wiring work at the fixture.
- Watertight access cap gives direct access for bulb replacement, cleaning, and inspection.
- Supports 12V, 24V, and 120V lamp options when fitted with the correct Perko 0374 series bulb for the supply voltage.
- 7-1/2 in overall height and 4-1/2 in lens height help confirm fit before replacing an older light or planning a new installation.
Variants
The range varies by finish, lens color, and certified visibility range. Housing finish options are black and white, lens colors include white, red, green, and yellow, and the white-light versions are available in either 2-mile or 5-mile configurations.
The 5-mile white versions are the Great Lakes configurations. The other listed versions are 2-mile all-round lights, with the selected lens color determining the navigation light color visible from the fixture.
Installation and fit
This fixture is intended for permanent mounting where the lens has a clear, unobstructed 360° view. On larger vessels it may be used on the mast, pilothouse top, arch, or other raised structure depending on the vessel’s lighting plan and regulatory layout.
Because navigation light compliance depends on placement as much as the fixture itself, the mounting location should keep the light clear of rails, antennas, canvas, radar arrays, and other hardware that could block part of the arc. Use the correct lamp for the onboard voltage and route the cable so it is protected from chafe, standing water, and service access conflicts.
Electrical and service notes
The fixture is supplied with a double contact bayonet socket and cable, but the bulb is not included. For a proper installation, match the replacement bulb to the vessel voltage and use the specified 0374 series lamp for 12V, 24V, or 120V systems.
The access cap is useful on boats that see frequent night operation, charter work, or commercial service because the lens and lamp can be inspected and cleaned without removing the entire fixture from the boat.
Use cases on board
This light is a practical match for larger sailboats, powerboats, workboats, and inspected vessels that need a serviceable incandescent all-round navigation light rather than a small plug-in pole light. The finish and lens choices make the same series useful across different positions on board where a 360° signal is part of the navigation light arrangement.
