Compatibility and fit

A compatible Garmin chartplotter is required, and chart features such as 3D views, relief layers, and imagery display depend on the model’s mapping feature support. If your helm uses a Garmin marine network, the mapping can be shared across the network when a single mapping card is in the chartplotter that is serving the map.

For the downloadable format, plan on using a dedicated microSD/SD card for this chart, since only one chart can be installed per card.

Installation and setup

For the card version, insert the microSD/SD card into the chartplotter, power up, and select the chart from the chart or map menu. Keep the card seated while navigating so the chart layers remain available.

For the download version, install the chart to a microSD/SD card with Garmin Express, then insert that card into the chartplotter it was unlocked to. A Class 10 microSD/SD card is the safe baseline for chartplotter use, and very high-speed card ratings can cause unexpected behavior on some units.
