Overview
The Perko 0301 is a molded polymer thru-hull connection for use with hose where a hose line needs a clean exit through a hull or transom opening. This white plastic fitting range uses a narrow flange and covers hose sizes from 1/2 inch to 1-1/2 inches, with matching mounting hole diameters and maximum hull thickness limits for each size.
These fittings are intended for hose-connected marine plumbing installations where the fitting size, cutout, and hull thickness all need to be checked before drilling. They are not recommended for use below the waterline under ABYC Safety Standards for Small Craft Section H-27, so placement should be limited to suitable above-waterline applications.
Key features
- Molded white polymer construction with a narrow flange for hose-connected thru-hull installations.
- Available hose sizes span from 1/2 inch to 1-1/2 inches across the range.
- Mounting hole diameters range from 13/16 inch to 1-7/8 inches, depending on the selected hose size.
- Maximum hull thickness ratings range from 1-1/4 inches to 1-7/8 inches, depending on the configuration.
- Dealer package format includes 10 pieces for service work, refits, or stocking common thru-hull sizes.
- For above-waterline hose outlets and similar marine plumbing locations where plastic thru-hull fittings are appropriate.
Variants
This Perko 0301 range varies by hose size, mounting hole diameter, and maximum hull thickness. The fittings in this group share the same white molded polymer construction and narrow flange style.
The smaller hose sizes use 13/16 inch mounting holes with a 1-1/4 inch maximum hull thickness, while larger sizes step up through 1 inch, 1-5/16 inch, and 1-7/8 inch mounting holes. Confirm the hose inside diameter, planned cutout, and hull thickness at the installation point before ordering.
Installation and fit
Fit depends on three measurements: the hose size, the drilled mounting hole, and the hull thickness where the fitting will pass through. The hose should match the fitting size without forcing, and the mounting surface needs enough clearance for the flange and retaining nut to seat properly.
Before drilling, check both sides of the hull or transom for access, hose routing, clamps, and any nearby wiring or structure. A clean cutout and proper bedding are important because the fitting is exposed to spray, washdowns, UV, vibration, and normal movement on board.
Use on board
This fitting range is a practical match for boat owners, riggers, and yards replacing above-waterline hose outlets or standardizing common thru-hull sizes during a refit. It is also useful for service departments that need multiple pieces on hand for routine marine plumbing work.
