Overview

The Blue Sea Systems Terminal Feed Through Connector is a bulkhead pass-through terminal for routing high-current DC cables through hulls, decks, and bulkheads while reducing cable chafe and adding strain relief.

This connector is rated IP66, making it suitable for exterior or exposed marine locations where spray, washdowns, and heavy-sea conditions can reach the installation area. The mounting face can be gasketed or bedded to help create a water-tight installation when the cable path passes through a panel or structural surface.

The range includes red and black color options, with 5/16"-18 or 3/8"-16 stud configurations. That gives installers a clean way to bring large DC conductors through a deck, engine-room bulkhead, battery-compartment wall, or equipment panel without simply passing cable through a raw hole.

Key features
  • Feeds high-current cables through hulls, decks, and bulkheads while reducing chafe at the pass-through point.
  • IP66 rating supports installations exposed to spray, washdowns, and heavy-sea conditions.
  • Mounting face can be gasketed or bedded for a water-tight installation through panels and bulkheads.
  • Available in red and black to support clear DC cable identification on board.
  • Stud options include 5/16"-18 and 3/8"-16 for matching common high-current cable lugs.
  • Useful for battery banks, inverter feeds, windlass wiring, DC distribution panels, and other large-cable runs where strain relief matters.
Variants

This product is offered in multiple configurations based on color and stud size. The color options help keep positive and negative cable paths visually organized, while the stud size should be matched to the cable lug and system layout.

Across the range, the purpose remains the same: a feed-through terminal for high-current cable runs through marine panels, decks, hulls, and bulkheads. The variant differences are limited to the visible color and stud thread configuration.

  • 2201: Black, 5/16"-18 studs. The black version suits installations where the pass-through needs to match black DC cabling or negative-side identification.
  • 2202: Red, 5/16"-18 studs. The red version suits installations where the pass-through is used with positive-side DC cabling or needs a clear visual warning point.
  • 2203: Black, 3/8"-16 studs. This configuration uses the larger stud size while keeping the black color for negative-side or neutral visual organization.
  • 2204: Red, 3/8"-16 studs. This configuration combines the larger stud size with red color for positive-side DC cable identification.
Installation and fit

Match the stud size to the cable lug before installation, then confirm that the mounting surface has enough room for the terminal body, cable bend radius, and any gasket or bedding compound used at the face. Large DC cables should be routed so the connector carries strain relief at the pass-through, not the weight or movement of an unsupported cable run.

Typical mounting locations include battery-compartment bulkheads, engine-room panels, deck penetrations for equipment feeds, and DC distribution areas where a large cable needs to pass cleanly from one side of a structure to the other.

Use on board

This connector is a practical match for boats that use heavy DC loads such as windlasses, bow thrusters, inverters, chargers, and battery distribution equipment. It is especially useful where a cable penetration must stay tidy, protected from edge wear, and easier to inspect during routine electrical checks.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
