Overview
The Blue Sea Systems 12/24V Dual USB 2.1A Charger is a dual-port USB charging socket for boats and other DC electrical systems where phones, tablets, action cameras, and small USB-powered devices need a fixed charging point. It accepts 12V or 24V DC input with a 9-32V DC input range and supplies 5V DC output at up to 2.1A total across the two USB ports.
The charger fits the same mounting hole as a traditional 12V outlet, using a 1 1/8 in (28.58 mm) diameter cutout. That makes it a practical upgrade for helm panels, cabins, cockpit accessory panels, nav stations, and other protected locations where a standard socket is already installed or planned.
A tethered protective cap helps keep dust and spray away from the USB ports when they are not in use. The unit is IP45 rated with the cover closed, uses corrosion resistant contact materials, and has potted electronics for the harsh marine environment.
Key features
- Dual USB charging ports let two mobile devices charge from one mounted socket.
- Works with 12V and 24V DC systems, with a 9-32V DC input range for common marine electrical setups.
- 5V DC output with a maximum total output current of 2.1A DC.
- Fits a 1 1/8 in (28.58 mm) diameter cutout, matching the mounting hole used by many traditional 12V outlets.
- Protective dust cap with tether helps reduce exposure to dust and spray when the ports are not in use.
- IP45 rating applies with the cover closed, suitable for protected marine mounting locations that may see spray or washdown mist.
- Potted electronics help the charger stand up to vibration, humidity, and the harsh marine environment.
- Reverse polarity protection, short circuit protection, and thermal overload protection are built in.
- Compatible with most mobile devices, including Apple products.
- A 2A supply fuse is required and is not included.
Variants
This charger is offered in two color configurations for matching different helm, console, cabin, and panel layouts.
The electrical specifications, mounting cutout, USB output, protective cap, and protection features are consistent across the variants. The difference is the visible color of the charger body.
- 1016 - Black. The black version blends well with dark switch panels, black acrylic dashboards, and helm layouts where other DC accessories use a dark finish.
- 1016200 - White. The white version suits light-colored consoles, cabin panels, and fiberglass areas where a white accessory face looks more natural.
Installation and setup
This charger is made for panel mounting in an existing or new 12V outlet-style opening. The 1 1/8 in diameter cutout is useful when replacing an older socket with a USB charging point, especially in a helm, cabin, or accessory panel where space is limited.
For wiring, the charger should be connected to a protected 12V or 24V DC circuit with the required 2A supply fuse. The socket uses .250 female quick connect terminals, so matching terminals and a clean crimp are important for a secure connection in a vibration-prone boat environment.
Use cases on board
This charger is a good match for boats that need a simple fixed USB charging point without adding a larger electronics module. It fits well at the helm for a phone running navigation apps, in the cabin for overnight charging, or near a cockpit accessory panel for USB-powered gear used during fishing, cruising, or dockside time.
Because the cap protects the ports when closed, it is best used where occasional spray, humidity, and dust are expected, while still keeping the USB face covered when charging is not needed.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
