Overview

The Garmin 010-12530-03 is a hardwire power cable that connects a compatible Garmin Dash Cam to a 12 V DC electrical system, keeping the camera powered so Parking Mode can run when the ignition key or helm switch is off.

The harness is 4 m (13 ft) long and uses a right-angled Micro-B USB plug at the camera end, with three bare-wire leads at the other end for connection at a fuse block or switch panel.

On a boat, it is typically used to power a dash cam mounted behind a windscreen or inside the cabin, so the camera can keep watch at the marina without tying up a 12 V accessory outlet.

Key features
  • Hardwire feed for Parking Mode using a constant 12 V supply and a switched 12 V accessory/ignition signal.
  • Right-angled Micro-B USB connector at the camera end for a tidy run behind trim and headliners.
  • 4 m (13 ft) overall length for routing from the mount location to a fuse panel or helm distribution block.
  • Color-coded leads: yellow for battery 12 V, red for accessory 12 V, black for ground.
  • Compatible with Garmin Dash Cam 45, 46, 47, 55, 56, 57, 65W, 66W, 67W, Live, Mini, Mini 2, and Tandem.
Compatibility and fit

This is the Micro-USB Parking Mode harness. It fits Garmin dash cams that use a Micro-B USB power input on the camera body.

If your camera uses USB-C, this is not the correct cable. Confirm the connector style and exact camera model before ordering, since Garmin offers more than one Parking Mode cable.

Installation and setup

Installation uses three connections: ground (black) to the negative bus, battery 12 V (yellow) to a fused always-on circuit, and accessory 12 V (red) to a circuit that turns on with the ignition key or a dedicated helm switch. Keep the constant-power feed protected by the correct fuse or breaker for the dash cam circuit, and secure the wiring so it cannot chafe or vibrate loose underway.

Route the Micro-USB end to the dash cam, leave enough slack for aiming the camera, and secure the inline module and harness inside the dash, console, or headliner so it will not rattle in chop.

Notes for marine use

This setup is a good match for boaters who want a cleaner installation and continuous dash cam power at the dock, especially when the camera is mounted in a dry, protected interior location. On open helms, plan to keep all connections inside the console and away from washdowns and spray.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
