Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD VEU457S Bretagne is an electronic chart for navigating the Brittany coast, covering from Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue to Le Croisic and Belle-Ile, including Cherbourg, the Channel Islands, Saint-Malo, Brest, and Lorient.
It is made to run on compatible Garmin chartplotters and adds chart layers that help with day-to-day coastal piloting, harbor work, and route planning. Features include Auto Guidance route suggestions (based on the depth and overhead clearance you enter), Depth Range Shading with up to 10 depth ranges, Shallow Water Shading, detailed 1 foot contours, and high-resolution satellite imagery.
Key features
- Regional coverage for Bretagne from Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue to Le Croisic and Belle-Ile, including major ports and approaches like Cherbourg, Saint-Malo, Brest, and Lorient
- Auto Guidance route suggestions that use your entered depth and overhead clearance for planning on supported plotters
- Depth Range Shading with up to 10 depth ranges to quickly highlight your target depths
- Shallow Water Shading you can set to match the draft and comfort margin you run
- Detailed 1 foot contours for a clearer picture of bottom shape and tighter contouring around channels and structure
- High-resolution satellite imagery for visual reference in familiar areas and when confirming shoreline features
Variants
This chart is offered in more than one format so you can match how you load charts on your boat.
The chart coverage and feature set remain the same, while the delivery method changes between a physical card and a computer-based download that you install to a microSD or SD card.
- 010-C0801-00: Format microSD/SD. A physical card you insert into the chartplotter, which keeps setup simple when you want a ready-to-use chart at the dock.
- 010-D0399-00: Format Download. Installed to a microSD or SD card using Garmin Express on a computer, then moved to the chartplotter for use underway.
Compatibility and fit
This is chart media, not a standalone navigation app. It requires a compatible Garmin chartplotter that supports BlueChart g3 Vision. If your display has more than one card slot, confirm which slot is used for cartography so the chart loads as expected.
Chart features such as Auto Guidance and shading layers depend on the chartplotter model and settings. For planning, enter realistic draft, safety depth, and overhead clearance values that match your boat and the way you operate.
Installation and setup
For the microSD/SD option, insert the card into the chartplotter while the unit is off, then power up and select the chart from the chart menu. For the download option, you will need a computer and a microSD or SD card for the chart install, then insert that card into the chartplotter.
Only one chart can be installed to a single microSD or SD card, so keep a dedicated card for this region if you also carry other chart regions on board.
Use on board
This chart makes sense for skippers who cruise Brittany and the nearby Channel approaches and want extra detail for coastal passages, harbor entrances, and day hops between ports. It is also a good fit for fishing and diving crews who spend time working contours and structure, since 1 foot contouring and depth shading make it easier to read bottom changes at a glance.
Auto Guidance provides a suggested route, but it does not replace good seamanship. Keep local notices, tides, and real-time conditions in mind, especially around drying areas, strong currents, and shifting bars common in this region.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
