Overview
The Garmin LiveScope Plus System with GLS 10 & LVS34 is a live scanning sonar setup that pairs the LVS34 transducer with the GLS 10 black box so your compatible Garmin chartplotter can show real-time views of fish and structure around the boat.
The LVS34 operates from 530 to 1,100 kHz and is rated for up to 61 m (200 ft) of depth/distance, with a field of view of 135 degrees front-to-back and 20 degrees side-to-side. The transducer body measures 161.7 x 77.5 x 47.8 mm (6.37 x 3.05 x 1.88 in.) and weighs 1018 g (2.25 lb.).
The GLS 10 mounts out of the way in a protected location and connects to your display over the Garmin Marine Network. It runs on 10 to 32 Vdc and uses 21 W typical power, with 58 W max for peak draw.
Key features
- Live scanning sonar views with Forward, Down, and Perspective modes when the transducer is mounted and oriented for the view you want
- Auto stabilization that keeps the sonar view steady on the chartplotter screen in rougher conditions and accounts for transducer orientation
- LVS34 operating range: 530 to 1,100 kHz, up to 61 m (200 ft) depth/distance, 135 degrees x 20 degrees field of view
- GLS 10 power input: 10 to 32 Vdc, 21 W typical power usage (58 W max)
- GLS 10 data output over Garmin Marine Network for integration with compatible Garmin chartplotters
- Transducer size and weight suited to common trolling motor, shaft, and Perspective-style mounting positions
Variants
This product is offered in multiple configurations based on whether the GLS 10 sonar module is included.
The LVS34 transducer and the mounting hardware come with both options. The configuration with the sonar module adds the GLS 10 plus the power and network cabling needed to connect it into your Garmin Marine Network.
- 010-02706-00 (Sonar Module Included: Yes). This is the complete package for a first-time LiveScope Plus install where you need the GLS 10 black box as well as the LVS34 transducer.
- 010-02706-10 (Sonar Module Included: No). This is the LVS34 transducer package for upgrading an existing GLS 10 setup, keeping the same sonar module and swapping to the newer transducer.
Compatibility and fit
This system relies on a compatible Garmin chartplotter and a Garmin Marine Network connection between the display and the GLS 10. Plan your install around where the transducer will live (trolling motor barrel, shaft, or a separate pole) and where the GLS 10 can be mounted in a dry, serviceable spot with clean power.
Installation and setup
Mount the LVS34 so it has a clear view of the water and can be rotated between Forward, Down, and Perspective orientations as needed. Run the transducer cable back to the GLS 10 with gentle bends and chafe protection, then connect the GLS 10 to the chartplotter over the Garmin Marine Network and supply 10 to 32 Vdc power from your boat’s distribution panel with appropriate circuit protection.
Once powered, use the chartplotter’s LiveScope settings to confirm the correct viewing mode and orientation, then fine-tune gain and range for the water depth, speed, and bottom type you typically fish.
Who it fits best
This setup is a strong match for anglers who want real-time feedback while working a trolling motor or scanning structure before making a drift. It also fits boats where you can dedicate a clean network run and a protected mounting location for the GLS 10, so the system stays easy to service season after season.
