Overview
The Garmin 010-13348-10 is a galvanic isolator kit for the GT17M-THF transducer. It replaces the galvanic isolation parts included with the transducer so the thru-hull installation keeps the intended electrical isolation between the transducer assembly and surrounding metals.
The GT17M-THF is a flush-mounted 1 kW midband CHIRP transducer (80-165 kHz). If the isolation parts were damaged during a haul-out, compressed over time, or went missing during service, this kit restores the installation back to the correct stack-up.
Key features
- Replacement galvanic isolation parts for GT17M-THF transducer installations
- Helps reduce galvanic activity around a thru-hull by keeping dissimilar metals from being directly connected through the mounting stack
- Useful for service work when the original isolating hardware is worn, cracked, or missing
- Applies to GT17M-THF systems commonly used as 1 kW midband CHIRP (80-165 kHz) flush-mounted thru-hull transducers
- Targeted maintenance part that lets you keep the existing transducer in place
Compatibility and fit
Compatibility is specific to the GT17M-THF transducer. Confirm the model on your transducer label before ordering, especially if the boat has more than one sonar channel or mixed transducer types.
This kit is for the isolation hardware only. It does not change the transducer tilt option, connector style, or cable routing.
Installation and service notes
Replace the isolator parts while the boat is out of the water or when the transducer is already being removed for inspection. Take note of the existing hardware order so the isolation components go back in the same positions.
After reassembly, check that the transducer and surrounding underwater metals are not unintentionally bonded together through the mounting hardware. Keeping that separation intact matters most on boats that live in saltwater or spend long stretches connected to shore power.
Use cases on board
This kit is a good match for anglers and cruisers running a GT17M-THF thru-hull who want the isolation hardware in the mounting stack kept in working condition over time, particularly on boats stored in marinas with mixed underwater metals.
If you are chasing intermittent sonar noise or seeing signs of corrosion around the installation, restoring the isolation parts is a sensible place to start after confirming the rest of the bonding and DC grounds are in good shape.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
