Overview
The Garmin TOPO U.S. 24K North Central is a 1:24,000-scale topographic map product for compatible Garmin GPS units, covering Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming.
It adds detailed terrain contours, elevation detail, summits, and hydrographic features like rivers and lakes, plus a searchable database of points of interest such as parks, campgrounds, and scenic lookouts. On compatible devices, routable roads and trails support point-to-point routing and turn-by-turn style guidance.
For boaters who trailer to inland waters or like to hike from the dock, this is a practical way to keep land navigation and trip planning on the same Garmin handheld or portable GPS you already carry.

Variants
This product is offered in two formats: a preprogrammed card or a digital download.
The map region and core content stay focused on the TOPO U.S. 24K North Central coverage; what changes is how the maps are delivered and loaded onto your compatible Garmin device.
- 010-C1130-00: Format SD Card. Preprogrammed microSD card with an SD adapter for devices that accept SD-size media.
- 010-D1457-00: Format Download. Digital map download that is transferred to your device using Garmin Express.
Compatibility and fit
This mapping is meant for compatible Garmin GPS units that support TOPO U.S. 24K mapping. Confirm your device supports this map type and, if you are relying on routing features, that it supports routable maps for road and trail navigation.
Card format requires a compatible card slot on the target device. Download format requires a computer running Garmin Express to load the map to the device or supported storage.
Installation and setup
For the card version, insert the microSD card into the device, power on, and enable the map in your device map settings if needed. Keep the card dry and seated firmly, especially on boats where vibration and spray are common around the helm or cockpit.
For the download version, use Garmin Express to install the map and transfer it to the device. Plan enough time at the dock or at home for the download and transfer, then verify the map is enabled before you head out.
Use on board
This map set is most useful for inland and near-shore trip planning where you want topographic context around ramps, marinas, trailheads, and shore routes. It is also handy when you step ashore and want the same GPS to guide you on roads and trails in the surrounding area.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
