The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD is a detailed electronic chart for The Gulf & Red Sea coverage area, shown as VAW005R on the Vision version, with options for a preprogrammed microSD/SD card or a download.
Coverage spans the Arabian Peninsula and surrounding waters, including the Suez Canal, Gulf of Aqaba, the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, the Strait of Hormuz, the Gulf of Oman, and the coast of Somalia, plus Gulf coasts such as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Iran.
On a compatible Garmin chartplotter, the chart supports Auto Guidance route suggestions, depth range shading with up to 10 depth ranges, shallow water shading, and detailed depth contours, including 1-foot contours where the underlying chart data supports it.

Variants
This chart is offered in multiple configurations that differ by cartography level and delivery format.
BlueChart g3 Vision (VAW005R) includes additional layers such as 3D views and photo imagery on supported units, while BlueChart g3 uses the matching Gulf & Red Sea chart area for the same region (commonly labeled HXAW005R). Format indicates whether you receive a preprogrammed memory card or a download to load onto a compatible card.
- 010-C0924-00: BlueChart g3 Vision, Format SD Card. This is the preprogrammed card option for chartplotters that use a chart card for map access.
- 010-D0379-00: BlueChart g3 Vision, Format Download. This is loaded to a compatible memory card using Garmin Express before it is used in the chartplotter.
- 010-C0924-20: BlueChart g3, Format SD Card. This is the standard g3 chart on a preprogrammed card without the Vision 3D and photo layers.
- 010-D0342-00: BlueChart g3, Format Download. This is the standard g3 chart as a download for loading to a memory card with Garmin Express.
Compatibility and fit
This is an accessory chart for Garmin chartplotters that support BlueChart g3 or BlueChart g3 Vision. Confirm your unit supports the chart type you are buying, and match the memory card format to your plotter slot (microSD or full-size SD).
These charts are intended to be used with one compatible chartplotter, which matters if you run more than one helm display or move electronics between boats.
Installation and setup
For SD card versions, insert the chart card into the chartplotter and allow the unit to index the map data. In normal use, the card stays in the slot while you want access to that chart coverage.
For download versions, use Garmin Express on a computer to write the chart data to a compatible memory card, then insert that card into the chartplotter for use underway.
Use on board
Depth shading, shallow water highlighting, and detailed contours help when you are picking routes through reefs, shoals, and busy approaches where depth awareness stays front and center. The Vision option adds 3D perspectives and photo imagery that can help with harbor recognition when you are arriving somewhere new.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
