Overview

The Garmin 010-02047-00 is a fixed-mount VHF marine radio with Class D DSC and 25 W transmit power for ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore communications.

It has an internal GPS receiver so DSC calls can include your position when the radio has a valid fix or is fed position data over a connected network. NMEA 2000 connectivity lets it share data with compatible chartplotters and multifunction displays for calling and call information at the helm.

Channel coverage includes U.S., Canadian, and international channel sets, plus NOAA weather channels for monitoring forecasts and alerts while underway.

Key features
  • 25 W transmit power with Class D DSC for routine calling and emergency signaling
  • Built-in GPS receiver for position in DSC messages when a valid fix or network position is available
  • NMEA 2000 connectivity for integration with compatible chartplotters and onboard networks
  • Supports a 30 W hailer output for use with an external horn to make voice announcements on deck or at the dock
  • Channel sets for U.S., Canada, and international operation, plus NOAA weather channels
  • Intercom capability when paired with compatible remote handset accessories for a second station
Installation and setup

Mount the radio where the display and controls are reachable from the helm and the rear wiring can stay dry and ventilated. Plan cable runs so connectors are not under tension and leave room to service the unit.

For DSC, enter your MMSI and confirm the radio is receiving GPS position. If you are networking the radio, connect it to the vessel NMEA 2000 backbone using a proper drop cable and ensure the network is powered and terminated correctly.

A hailer horn and any second-station handset are installed separately. Keep those wiring runs away from high-current engine cables and route them so they are protected from chafe and water intrusion.

Compatibility and fit

This radio fits well on boats that want DSC safety calling with GPS position and want VHF calling details visible on a compatible Garmin or NMEA 2000 chartplotter. It also works for helms where a hailer is useful for docking instructions or crew communication.

On-water use

Use the NOAA weather channels to monitor changing conditions, then switch to the appropriate channel set for your region as you travel. When a DSC call comes in, having it tied into your network can make it easier to identify the caller and respond from the helm.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
