Overview

The Garmin NSPC029R/NVPC029R is an electronic chart coverage for New Zealand that runs on compatible Garmin chartplotters as Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+.

You get coastal and inland mapping for the coverage area, plus a one-year subscription that unlocks daily chart updates through the ActiveCaptain app. Where the data supports it, contours can display down to 1 foot, and you can use depth range shading and shallow water shading to make key depths stand out at a glance.

Both versions also support Auto Guidance+ route suggestions for trip planning. It is a planning tool, so it still needs to be backed up by local knowledge, current conditions, and good seamanship when you are underway.

Key features
  • New Zealand coverage with integrated coastal and inland content for compatible Garmin chartplotters
  • One-year subscription included for daily chart updates through the ActiveCaptain app
  • Up to 1 foot contours where available, plus depth range shading and shallow water shading
  • Auto Guidance+ route suggestions for planning dock-to-dock routes (planning purposes only)
  • Garmin Navionics Vision+ adds premium layers such as high-resolution relief shading, satellite imagery, sonar imagery, aerial photos, and 3D views where available
Variants

This chart coverage is offered in multiple configurations so you can match the chart version and delivery format to the way you manage charts on board.

The New Zealand coverage stays the same across the options. What changes is the version (Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+) and the format (microSD/SD card or a digital download installed with Garmin Express).

  • 010-C1283-20: Version Garmin Navionics+ in microSD/SD format. This is supplied on a microSD/SD card that installs by inserting it into the chart slot on the plotter.
  • 010-D1885-20: Version Garmin Navionics+ in Download format. This is delivered digitally and installed using Garmin Express so you can load the chart to a microSD/SD card for use in the plotter.
  • 010-C1283-00: Version Garmin Navionics Vision+ in microSD/SD format. This includes the Navionics+ feature set plus premium layers where available, supplied on a microSD/SD card for the plotter.
  • 010-D1885-00: Version Garmin Navionics Vision+ in Download format. This is delivered digitally and installed using Garmin Express, with premium layers available where supported for the coverage area.
Compatibility and fit

A compatible Garmin chartplotter is required, and compatibility can vary by model and software generation. If your plotter only supports older chart formats, this chart may not load.

This product is specific to the New Zealand coverage area. If you cruise outside the region, you will want additional coverage for those waters.

Installation and updates

For microSD/SD versions, insert the card into the chart slot and select the map from your chartplotter’s chart options. For download versions, use Garmin Express on a computer to install the chart, then use the resulting microSD/SD card in the chartplotter.

Only one chart product can be installed to a single microSD/SD card. During the included one-year subscription, daily updates and available extra content can be downloaded through the ActiveCaptain app. Charts and features downloaded during the subscription period remain on the card, but additional downloads stop when the subscription expires unless it is renewed.

Use on board

Depth shading helps when you are approaching unfamiliar bays, picking a track through channels, or marking a target depth band for fishing. Shallow water shading is also useful for quickly calling out areas that are likely to be too skinny for your draft.

This chart set is a good match for skippers who run the New Zealand coast and also spend time on inland lakes, and who want cartography that stays current without swapping between separate coastal and inland products.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
