Overview

The Raymarine A80322 is a B275LH-W bronze thru-hull CHIRP transducer with low and high-wide frequency coverage for serious sonar work on fiberglass or wood hulls. It runs at 1 kW and covers 42 to 65 kHz on the low band and 150 to 250 kHz on the high-wide band, giving the boat a practical mix of deep-water reach and a wider view in the upper water column.

The high-wide channel holds a 25° beam across the 150 to 250 kHz range, which helps show more water under the hull while keeping target separation useful for fishing. The low-frequency side has a 25° to 16° beam and reaches down to 3000 ft, while the high-wide side is rated to 500 ft.

This is a thru-hull installation with a bronze housing and fairing, suited to vessels 25 ft and above where clean water flow across the transducer face matters. It also reads depth and fast-response water temperature, making it a good fit for offshore fishing, commercial fishing, and boats that need dependable CHIRP sonar data from a fixed hull mount.

Key features
  • 1 kW CHIRP-ready dual-band transducer for low-frequency and high-wide sonar operation.
  • Low-frequency range of 42 to 65 kHz with a 25° to 16° beam for deeper water use.
  • High-wide frequency range of 150 to 250 kHz with a constant 25° beam for broader coverage near and below the boat.
  • Rated maximum depth of 3000 ft on the low-frequency band and 500 ft on the high-wide band.
  • Bronze thru-hull housing with fairing for fiberglass or wood hulls with deadrise up to 20°.
  • Depth and fast-response water-temperature sensing in one transducer body.
  • 30 mm hole size and 121 mm usable shaft length for installation planning.
  • Requires Raymarine A80327 CHIRP transducer extension cable, which is not included.
Installation and fit

The A80322 is a fixed thru-hull transducer, so it should be installed where the face stays in clean, aeration-free water at speed. The bronze housing is intended for fiberglass or wood hulls, and the fairing helps compensate for hull angle up to 20° while improving water flow over the transducer.

Because this style of transducer requires a hull penetration, installation should be planned carefully before drilling. Check the hull thickness, inside access, bilge clearance, and the cable route to the sonar module or compatible Raymarine display before work begins.

Electrical and system integration

This transducer is built for CHIRP sonar systems using low and high-wide channels. It is a strong match for boats set up around Raymarine CHIRP sounder hardware where a 1 kW thru-hull sensor is appropriate for the fishing style and depth range.

The A80327 10 m CHIRP transducer extension cable is required for this model, so it should be included in the installation plan along with any routing needs through bulkheads, conduits, or rigging chases. Keeping the cable path protected from sharp edges, heat, and service traffic will help maintain signal quality over time.

Use cases on board

The A80322 makes sense for offshore fishing boats, larger center consoles, sportfishing vessels, and commercial fishing setups where the crew wants a wider high-frequency view without giving up low-frequency depth capability. The 25° high-wide beam is useful when looking for fish in the upper water column, while the low band supports deeper scanning when the boat moves off the shelf or works in deeper grounds.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
