Overview
The Raymarine E70511 is the RVX1000 3D CHIRP black box sonar module for adding advanced fishfinding and bottom-imaging capability to a Raymarine multifunction display system. It combines RealVision 3D, CHIRP SideVision, CHIRP DownVision, high-frequency CHIRP, and up to 1 kW RMS CHIRP sonar output in one remotely mounted module, giving anglers and cruisers a wider view of fish, structure, bottom shape, and deeper water targets.
This module works on 12 V DC and 24 V DC vessel systems, with an operating voltage range of 10.8 V DC to 31.2 V DC and 10.4 W power consumption. The enclosure is rated IPX6 and IPX7, so it is suitable for protected marine mounting areas where spray, washdown moisture, vibration, and changing temperatures are part of normal boat use.
With a 1 kW transducer in suitable conditions, the RVX1000 supports depth readings up to 1,524 m or 5,000 ft. It also gives Raymarine eS and gS Series displays a strong sonar upgrade path, while pairing naturally with Axiom and Axiom Pro displays running compatible LightHouse software.
Key features
- Five sonar channels in one black box module: RealVision 3D, CHIRP SideVision, CHIRP DownVision, high-frequency CHIRP, and 1 kW CHIRP sonar.
- Up to 1 kW RMS sonar output for offshore fishing and deeper sounding when used with a compatible 1 kW transducer.
- Depth capability up to 1,524 m or 5,000 ft in optimum conditions with a 1 kW transducer.
- RayNet network connection for integration with compatible Raymarine multifunction displays.
- Two transducer connections, including a RealVision port and an 11-pin 1 kW transducer port.
- IPX6 and IPX7 water ingress rating for marine installation areas exposed to spray and washdown moisture.
- 10.8 V DC to 31.2 V DC operating range for use on 12 V and 24 V electrical systems.
- Sonar Scroll Back lets the operator pause, rewind, and review up to 10 minutes of sonar history before placing waypoints.
- TruZoom magnification helps show target detail without reducing image resolution.
- Compact black box format measures 299.4 mm wide, 188.0 mm high, and 84.4 mm deep for concealed mounting near power, network, and transducer cable runs.
Compatibility and fit
The RVX1000 is built for Raymarine systems using compatible Axiom, Axiom Pro, eS Series, and gS Series multifunction displays. It is a practical upgrade for boats that already have a Raymarine helm network and need more sonar capability without replacing the entire display setup.
Transducer selection matters with this module. RealVision transducers can connect to the 25-pin RealVision port, while compatible 1 kW CHIRP transducers connect through the 11-pin port. Some CPT-S, DownVision, and Airmar transducers require Raymarine adapter cables, so the transducer model and connector style should be checked before installation.
Installation and setup
The black box should be mounted in a dry, serviceable location with room for cable bends, ventilation, and access to the power, RayNet, and transducer connections. Good locations often include the electronics cabinet, helm console interior, or a protected equipment locker rather than an exposed deck area.
The unit uses a 5 A fuse and draws 2.4 A peak or 1.2 A RMS. Power wiring should follow normal marine electrical practice, with secure strain relief and routing that keeps sonar and network cables away from sources of interference where possible.
Use cases on board
This module is a good match for fishing boats and cruising boats that need clear structure views inshore and deeper sounding offshore. RealVision 3D, SideVision, and DownVision help when working reefs, ledges, wrecks, drop-offs, and channels, while the 1 kW CHIRP channel supports deeper water searching with the right transducer.
It also suits refits where the boat already has a compatible Raymarine display but needs modern sonar processing in a separate module. The dedicated processor helps run multiple sonar channels at the same time, which is useful when the skipper wants chart, sonar, and fishfinding views active during a run.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
