Overview

The Jabsco 35515-0010 is a 3 inch flexmount blower for 12 Vdc systems, built for air intake or extraction in engine rooms, fuel compartments, galleys, and heads. It moves up to 105 CFM in open airflow, uses slip-on 3 inch ducting connections, and draws 4.3 amps with a 6 amp fuse size.

The flexmount bracket lets the outlet rotate through a full 360-degree range, which helps when the duct run is tight or the bulkhead layout gives you limited routing options. It also uses quiet-running Delrin rotors and corrosion-resistant materials, so it suits marine spaces where moisture, salt air, and vibration are part of normal use.

This blower is ignition protected to USCG 183.410 and ISO 8846 MARINE, and it also complies with ISO 9097 MARINE for electric fans. It is mainly an intermittent-duty blower for clearing gasoline vapors and moving air through enclosed compartments, rather than a blower meant to run continuously around the clock.

Key features
  • 105 CFM open airflow for ventilating enclosed marine compartments
  • 12 Vdc motor with 4.3 amp draw and 6 amp fuse size
  • 3 inch slip-on inlet and outlet connections for standard ducting runs
  • Flexmount bracket lets the outlet face the direction that best suits the duct route
  • Ignition protection compliance to USCG 183.410 and ISO 8846 MARINE
  • ISO 9097 MARINE compliant electric fan construction
  • Delrin rotor and corrosion-resistant materials for marine service
  • Intended for intermittent-duty ventilation rather than continuous-duty operation
Installation and setup

This unit is mounted on a flat bulkhead in the highest part of the compartment, clear of spray and deck wash. The outlet can be rotated in the bracket to shorten the duct route, and the inlet duct should be run with as few bends as possible to the lower third of the bilge or compartment where vapors tend to collect.

On boats with gasoline engines, blower placement and duct routing matter as much as airflow rating. The pickup should sit below the top of the engine stringers but not so low that it can end up in bilge water. The housing should also be kept away from extreme heat above 130°F or 54°C.

Compatibility and fit

This blower fits installations built around 3 inch ventilation ducting and a 12 Vdc electrical system. It is a practical match for small to mid-size engine compartments, fuel vapor extraction runs, and enclosed service spaces where a compact blower with a rotatable outlet makes the hose run easier to manage.

It is a good fit for powerboats and other vessels that need ignition-protected ventilation in gasoline-related spaces, and it also works for general air movement in heads, galleys, and similar compartments where a shorter intermittent run cycle is acceptable.

Use on board

For engine compartment ventilation, the normal operating practice is to run the blower for 4 minutes before starting the engine and to check the bilge for gasoline vapors. That makes this model most relevant for owners replacing an original 3 inch blower or for refits where ignition protection, 12 Vdc compatibility, and flexible outlet positioning all need to line up in one unit.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
