Overview
The Garmin 010-02690-01 is a 9-inch ECHOMAP UHD2 95sv touchscreen chartplotter and fishfinder with Canada inland and coastal mapping, supplied without a transducer. The display runs at 1024 x 600 resolution and the unit carries an IPX7 water rating for real-world spray and washdown. Power input is 9 to 18 Vdc, with typical current draw around 1.72 A at 12 Vdc (3.5 A peak).
Built-in Garmin Navionics+ cartography comes loaded for Canada inland and coastal waters and includes a 1-year subscription to daily updates. Coverage includes more than 8,100 lakes with up to 1-foot contours, which is useful for dialing in structure, drop-offs, and routes in unfamiliar water.
On the sonar side, the 95sv has built-in single-channel CHIRP sonar plus ClearVü and SideVü scanning support (500 W RMS output), with LiveScope compatibility when paired with the appropriate gear. Built-in Wi-Fi handles ActiveCaptain connectivity and lets two compatible ECHOMAP UHD2 units share sonar, waypoints, and routes. It also supports NMEA 2000 networking and can connect wirelessly to a Garmin Force trolling motor for on-screen control and navigation.

Compatibility and fit
This unit works well at a helm where a 9-inch screen is easier to read at a glance, and it also fits bow installations where you want mapping and sonar in front of you. Device-only dimensions are 264 x 166 x 80 mm, and the bail-mount footprint with sun cover is 303 x 182 x 99 mm. For flush mounting, plan for 118 mm of clearance behind the display.
If you are placing it near a magnetic compass, allow a compass-safe distance of 22.5 cm (9 in.). Operating temperature range is -20 to 55 C, which covers typical spring-to-fall use and cold-weather storage scenarios.
Installation and setup
Power it from a clean 12 V or 24 V house system through your distribution panel or an appropriate breaker, keeping the included 3 A fast-acting fuse in the circuit. Use marine tinned wire sized for the run length and load, and route the power cable away from ignition wiring and high-current motor feeds where possible.
The included tilt mount makes it easy to set viewing angle and service the back of the unit. For a flush install, dry-fit first and confirm rear clearance so cables can bend without strain, then leave enough slack for service loops and vibration.
Sonar and transducer pairing
This package does not include a transducer, so the install hinges on matching the display to the transducer you already have or the sonar views you want. The unit supports traditional CHIRP, ClearVü, and SideVü scanning, with frequencies and performance depending on the transducer and conditions.
A 12-pin sounder port is used on the back of the display, and the included 12-pin sounder to 8-pin transducer cable helps mate the unit to many Garmin 8-pin transducers. If you plan to add LiveScope, account for the extra components, mounting location, and cable routing before you start cutting holes.
Electrical and system integration
NMEA 2000 support makes it straightforward to share compatible data across the boat network and view it on the screen in one place. Wi-Fi pairing with the ActiveCaptain app is also handy for keeping charts and software up to date when the boat is on the trailer or at the dock.
This unit is a good match for anglers running two stations who want wireless sharing between displays, and for boats using a Garmin Force trolling motor where control and navigation features can be managed from the chartplotter.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
