Overview

The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD VAF450S is an electronic chart for navigating the Madeira archipelago and the Canary Islands on a compatible Garmin chartplotter. Coverage includes detailed port plans for places such as Arrecife, Puerto del Rosario, and Canial, plus general coverage along the southwestern coast of Morocco from Marruecos, Mor. to El Aauin in Western Sahara.

This chart adds practical navigation layers you actually use underway, including spot soundings, tides, and current information. It also includes premium viewing tools such as MarinerEye and FishEye 3D views, Depth Range Shading for up to 10 depth ranges, and satellite imagery that helps when you want a more realistic look at shorelines and approaches.

Key features
  • Madeira and Canary Islands coverage with detailed port plans, plus general coverage of the southwestern coast of Morocco from Marruecos, Mor. to El Aauin in Western Sahara
  • Includes spot soundings along with tide and current information for day-to-day trip planning and approach work
  • Depth Range Shading supports up to 10 depth ranges, so you can highlight your target depths at a glance
  • 3D viewing options include MarinerEye and FishEye perspectives for reading bottom and terrain in a more intuitive way
  • Satellite imagery and aerial photography layers add extra visual reference when entering unfamiliar ports and marinas
  • Auto Guidance route suggestions use your boat settings (such as draft and overhead clearance) to generate a proposed path for planning
Variants

This chart area is offered in more than one format, depending on how you prefer to load charts onto your Garmin system.

The map coverage is tied to the VAF450S region; what changes between options is the delivery method and how the chart is associated with your equipment. Feature availability on-screen depends on the capabilities of the chartplotter you are using.

  • 010-C0750-00: Format microSD/SD. This is the plug-in card option for chartplotters that read charts directly from a card slot.
  • 010-D0375-00: Format Download. This version is installed to an SD card using Garmin Express and is unlocked to a specific chartplotter for use and network sharing.
Compatibility and system notes

This is cartography, not a powered device, so there is no 12V or 24V wiring to plan. What matters is chartplotter compatibility and chart support: your Garmin display needs to support BlueChart g3 Vision cartography to read this region and show the Vision layers.

On multi-display boats, a single mapping card can be used to view maps across compatible chartplotters connected on the Garmin marine network. If you choose the Download format, the chart unlock is tied to the specific chartplotter it is registered to.

Installation and setup

For the microSD/SD card format, you insert the card into the chartplotter and select the chart in the mapping menu. For the Download format, you install the chart to an SD card using Garmin Express, then insert that card into the registered chartplotter. Only one chart should be installed per SD card.

If you plan to use Auto Guidance, take a minute to enter your boat dimensions and clearance settings in the chartplotter before relying on suggested routes. Use suggested paths for planning and always confirm your route with local conditions, notices, and what you can see on the water.

Use on board

This chart is a good match for cruising, fishing, and delivery runs around Madeira and the Canaries where you want detailed port plan coverage and the extra context that 3D views and imagery layers can add. It is especially helpful when you are approaching an unfamiliar harbor at dusk, lining up an entrance, or checking depth structure while working the edges offshore.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
