Overview

The Garmin 010-01364-10 is a GMR Fantom 5X radar pedestal that pairs with a 4 ft or 6 ft GMR Fantom open-array antenna (array sold separately).

It integrates on a Garmin Marine Network and is operated from a compatible Garmin chartplotter. Power input is 10 to 32 Vdc, and the IPX6-rated housing is built for exposure to spray and heavy seas.

The pedestal weighs 15.8 kg (34.8 lb.), and the antenna adds 5.2 kg (11.4 lb.) for a 4 ft array or 7.3 kg (16.0 lb.) for a 6 ft array. Standard cable lengths are 15 m (49 ft 3 in.) for both power and network runs.

Key features
  • Pedestal for GMR Fantom open-array systems; compatible with 4 ft and 6 ft antenna arrays.
  • Pedestal only; the antenna array is not included.
  • 50 W solid-state radar pedestal with MotionScope target highlighting and pulse compression processing.
  • Antenna rotation speeds of 24 rpm and 48 rpm (48 rpm available in single range mode with MotionScope off at 12 nm and below).
  • 10 to 32 Vdc input; typical system draw of 65 W with a 170 W maximum on the 50 W Fantom open-array models.
  • IEC 60529 IPX6 water rating and an operating temperature range from -15 to 55°C (5 to 131°F).
  • Compass-safe distance: 300 mm (11.8 in.); maximum wind load: 80 kn.
Compatibility and system integration

This pedestal connects to a compatible Garmin chartplotter or network port expander over the Garmin Marine Network, sharing radar data across the network. Antenna size is selected during setup, so the system matches the 4 ft or 6 ft array installed on the pedestal.

Installation and setup

Mount the pedestal on a solid, level surface that is parallel to the vessel waterline and has a clear view for the rotating beam. Plan a clean cable route and sealing at deck penetrations; the installation template allows for an optional 32 mm (1 1/4 in.) pass-through for the power and network cables.

For electrical safety and noise control, the unit is intended to be connected to a proper water ground (not the battery negative). The radar power cable uses a 15 A blade fuse when wired directly, and systems that use a voltage converter add a 30 A blade fuse on the battery side.

On-board use notes

Like any open-array radar, placement matters. Keep the antenna path clear, maintain the specified safe distances when transmitting (general public: 0.38 m for 4 ft arrays and 0.40 m for 6 ft arrays), and avoid mounting near a magnetic compass or other electronics that could be affected by the rotating beam.

This pedestal is a practical fit for boats replacing a damaged or corroded Fantom pedestal while keeping an existing 4 ft or 6 ft array, or for new installs where you already have the correct array and need the matching pedestal and cabling.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
