Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD VUS037R is an electronic chart that covers the West Coast of North America from Vancouver, Canada to the U.S. border with Mexico, including Puget Sound, San Francisco Bay, San Diego Harbor, the Columbia and Snake Rivers, and the California Delta to Sacramento and Stockton. It adds chart detail and presentation layers such as high-resolution relief shading, depth range shading (up to 10 ranges), and bottom contours with detail down to 1 foot in supported areas.
This is chart data for a compatible Garmin chartplotter or Garmin marine navigation system. It is not a GPS antenna or a plotter upgrade by itself, so it must be used in a unit that supports BlueChart g3 Vision content and accepts the selected chart format.
Key features
- Coverage from Vancouver, BC to the U.S. Mexico border, including Puget Sound, San Francisco Bay, San Diego Harbor, the Columbia and Snake Rivers, and the California Delta to Sacramento and Stockton
- Chart detail built from integrated Garmin and Navionics data
- Auto Guidance calculates a suggested path using your entered depth and overhead clearance (planning tool only)
- High-resolution relief shading helps show bottom structure in a way that is easier to read than contour lines alone
- Depth range shading supports up to 10 depth bands for quick scanning of target depths
- Bottom contours with detail down to 1 foot in supported areas for tighter inshore navigation and fishing structure
- Shallow water shading highlights areas that may be too thin for your draft settings
- High-resolution satellite imagery and 3D perspectives (MarinerEye and FishEye) for added situational awareness where supported
- NOAA raster cartography can be downloaded through the ActiveCaptain app for a paper-chart style view (viewing support depends on device family)
Variants
This chart is offered in more than one format so it can match how you prefer to install and manage chart data.
The format is what changes between versions. The coverage area and chart content type remain tied to VUS037R, while installation is either by card slot on the plotter or by loading the chart through software before you head to the dock.
- 010-C1003-00: Format microSD/SD. This is a physical card format that is used by inserting the card into a compatible chartplotter card slot.
- 010-D0494-00: Format Download. This format is loaded using Garmin Express before use on a compatible system.
Compatibility and fit
Confirm your Garmin chartplotter supports BlueChart g3 Vision content and has the correct card capability for the format you are buying. For microSD/SD, check the slot type on the back or front of the unit and make sure the card can be inserted without adapters or workarounds. For download, plan on having a computer available for Garmin Express and a compatible card ready for the install.
Some features are presentation-dependent. NOAA raster cartography is viewed on mobile devices through the ActiveCaptain app, and certain chartplotter families do not display raster charts on the plotter screen.
Installation and setup
On the microSD/SD version, insert the card with the chartplotter powered off or at the dock, then power on and allow the unit time to index the chart data. For the download version, load the chart through Garmin Express and then use the resulting card in the chartplotter as you would a standard chart card.
If you use Auto Guidance, enter realistic draft, depth, and overhead clearance values for your boat and treat the suggested path as a planning aid. It does not replace safe navigation, local knowledge, or keeping a proper watch.
Who this chart fits
This coverage is a good match for coastal cruising, offshore runs, and fishing trips along the Pacific Northwest and California coast, especially if your routes regularly touch major bays, river systems, and the Delta waterways included in this region.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
