Installation and setup
Adhesive mounts live or die by surface prep. Clean the mounting area thoroughly, remove wax or sunscreen residue, and make sure the surface is fully dry before applying the base. Press it down firmly and give the adhesive time to set before heading out, especially if the gear will flex or take repeated impacts.
Use the safety tethers as a true backup, not as the primary attachment. Tie them off to a solid point on the gear so the camera stays connected if something gets caught, a wave rolls the board, or the mount takes a direct hit.
