The Maxwell RC10-8 Vertical 12V Windlass is a fully automatic rope and chain windlass designed to provide superior performance for marine applications. Built with an innovative Wave Design™ chainwheel, this windlass accommodates a wide range of chain pitch differences within the specified chain size, ensuring smooth and reliable operation.

Its two-piece installation simplifies setup, allowing for easy retrofitting without disassembling the windlass. The unique spacer tube design enables installation through virtually any deck thickness, while multiple mounting positions and a self-aligning gearbox ensure optimal placement.

Crafted from marine-grade hard-anodized alloy and heavy-duty stainless steel (AISI 316), the RC10-8 guarantees durability in harsh marine environments. The sealed oil bath and precision worm and worm wheel mechanism maximize efficiency and longevity. Additionally, this windlass offers full disassembly capability using just the provided handle and an Allen key, ensuring hassle-free maintenance.

Important Usage Note

For optimal performance and safety, the Maxwell RC10-8 Windlass must be used with a chain stopper and/or snubbing device to relieve the load while at anchor. Additionally, these securing systems should be used to keep the anchor in place while underway.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking

Duties, taxes, and support

If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund.
