Overview
The Simrad Cable for Halo Dome is the radar antenna and power cable used to connect a HALO dome radar to the rest of the installation when you need a specific run length. It is offered in 5 m, 10 m, 20 m, and 30 m options, and the cable measures about 8.5 mm in diameter for planning deck glands, conduits, and bulkhead pass-throughs.
This cable is suitable for HALO20, HALO20+, and HALO24 dome radars. It can also be used as a power supply cable for a B&G Nemesis display in compatible setups.
Key features
- Length options from 5 m to 30 m to match short hardtop runs or longer mast and flybridge routing
- Approx. 8.5 mm outer diameter to help size deck seals and cable routing hardware
- Suitable for HALO20, HALO20+, and HALO24 dome radar installations
- Can also serve as a power supply cable for a B&G Nemesis display in compatible systems
- Single continuous cable run helps avoid mid-run splices where corrosion and intermittent faults often start
Variants
This product is offered in multiple lengths to suit different vessel layouts and radar mounting positions.
Length is the only difference between variants; the cable type and intended application remain the same across the range.
- 000-14547-001 (Length: 5 m). A shorter run that fits cleanly when the dome and connection point are close, such as on a T-top, arch, or compact helm console.
- 000-14548-001 (Length: 10 m). A common mid-length choice for hardtops and small-to-mid cabins where you want enough slack for service loops without excess coil.
- 000-14549-001 (Length: 20 m). Helpful when the dome is higher up or farther forward and the route needs to follow existing cable chases through the deck and cabin.
- 000-14550-001 (Length: 30 m). Supports longer runs on flybridge boats, taller masts, and layouts where the cable must travel through multiple compartments.
Compatibility and fit
Confirm your radar model and measure the full routing path before selecting a length. Include vertical rises, drip loops, and a small service loop at each end so the radar can be removed for maintenance without putting tension on the cable.
Plan penetrations and glands around the cable diameter, and keep routing clear of sharp edges and moving hardware. Where the cable passes through fiberglass or metal, use a properly sized pass-through and chafe protection so vibration does not wear the jacket over time.
Installation and routing notes
Route the cable away from high-heat sources and high-current wiring runs where possible, and secure it at regular intervals so it cannot slap inside a mast or hardtop. Avoid tight bends and do not crush the cable with clamps or zip ties.
This is a good match for boaters doing a new radar install, replacing a damaged cable, or re-routing after moving electronics, where a clean continuous run matters more than trying to extend an old cable in place.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
