An O-Ring uses to raise the clamping pressure around the combustion chamber.
The Volvo Penta 967344 O-RING enhances cylinder sealing in high-pressure applications. The metal components wrap the bore and chamber, enhancing the healing properties of the head gasket. An O-ring is a gasket with a circular loop that connects two working surfaces. If this tiny and otherwise straightforward component is missing, the oil may flow into the valve guides, which are burned inside the combustion chamber.
