Overview

The Garmin NSEU074R is an electronic chart coverage package for the England, South Coast region that displays on compatible Garmin chartplotters. Coverage runs along the south coast of the UK from Felixstowe to the Isles of Scilly, and also includes the coast of France from Dunkirk to Le Treport, with key areas such as the River Thames to Windsor and the Isle of Wight.

This chart is available as Garmin Navionics+ and as the premium Garmin Navionics Vision+ (chart code NVEU074R), in either microSD/SD card format or as a download. Each purchase includes a one year subscription that unlocks daily chart updates through the ActiveCaptain app, and updates can also be managed with Garmin Express for supported setups.

After the one year subscription ends, the charts you already have remain usable on the plotter, but you will no longer be able to download fresh updates or additional downloadable content.

Variants differ by chart version (Garmin Navionics+ vs Garmin Navionics Vision+) and by format (microSD/SD card vs Download). Navionics+ uses chart code NSEU074R, and Vision+ uses chart code NVEU074R for the same England, South Coast region.

  • 010-C1269-20: Garmin Navionics+ in microSD/SD format. A physical card is convenient for straightforward loading at the helm with no computer transfer step.
  • 010-D1871-20: Garmin Navionics+ as a Download. This version is delivered through Garmin Express for transfer to a compatible chartplotter or supported memory card setup.
  • 010-C1269-00: Garmin Navionics Vision+ in microSD/SD format. Vision+ adds extra graphical layers that can help with bottom structure and shoreline recognition where those layers are available.
  • 010-D1871-00: Garmin Navionics Vision+ as a Download. Use Garmin Express to move the chart to a compatible plotter or supported memory card setup, with the added Vision+ layers where available.
Compatibility and setup

Confirm your chartplotter supports Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+ and that it accepts the chart delivery method you are buying (microSD/SD card or download workflow). Keeping the chartplotter software up to date matters for proper rendering and for features such as Auto Guidance+ and downloadable layers.

Updates and real world use

The one year subscription is most valuable if you regularly run busy water like the Solent, the Thames approaches, and cross Channel routes where changes and notices matter. It is a solid fit for coastal cruising, delivery runs, and fishing trips that rely on clear depth presentation and fast route planning, with the option to step up to Vision+ when you want more visual layers on screen.

Duties, taxes, and support

If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund.
