Overview
The Perko 0350 is a chrome-plated bronze thru-hull connection for use with hose on marine drain, discharge, and plumbing runs above the waterline. This range covers hose sizes from 5/8 inch to 1-1/2 inches in the configurations listed here, with matching mounting hole diameters and maximum hull thickness values for proper fit through the hull side or transom.
The cast bronze body gives the fitting the strength expected for marine plumbing hardware, while the chrome-plated finish suits visible exterior installations where the fitting needs to match other bright deck and hull hardware. The flange is machined to fit the hull and includes a bedding groove to help retain sealant during installation.
This thru-hull connection is not for below-waterline use. It is a practical match for boats needing an above-waterline hose outlet for applications such as cockpit drainage, sink discharge, livewell overflow, or similar systems where the hose size and hull thickness are confirmed before drilling.
Key features
- Chrome-plated cast bronze construction for a thru-hull fitting used with marine hose.
- Flange is machined to fit the hull and grooved to retain bedding compound during installation.
- Neck is threaded close to the flange, helping the fitting seat properly with the retaining nut.
- Available here for hose sizes from 5/8 inch through 1-1/2 inches.
- Mounting hole sizes range from 13/16 inch to 1-7/8 inches across the listed configurations.
- Maximum hull thickness ranges from 1-1/16 inches to 1-7/8 inches across the listed configurations.
- Intended for above-waterline hose connections, not for installations below the waterline.
Variants
This Perko 0350 thru-hull connection is offered in multiple chrome-plated bronze configurations. The variables across this range are hose size, mounting hole diameter, and maximum hull thickness.
All listed configurations share the same general fitting type, finish, and use with hose. Confirm the hose inside diameter, the required drilled hole size, and the hull thickness at the mounting point before installation, since those measurements determine which configuration fits the boat.
Installation and fit
Dry-fit the fitting before applying bedding compound. The hose size must match the hose used on board, and the mounting hole should follow the size specified for that configuration rather than being opened up by guesswork. The hull surface should be clean and fair so the machined flange can sit evenly against the outside surface.
Because the flange has a bedding groove, sealant can remain under the flange as the fitting is tightened. Tighten the retaining hardware enough to seat the flange and compress the bedding compound without forcing all sealant out of the joint.
Use on board
This fitting suits visible above-waterline outlets where a chrome-plated finish is preferred, such as on polished transoms or topside hull areas. It is commonly relevant for refits where an older thru-hull connection is being replaced and the installer needs to match both the hose size and the existing hole or hull thickness.
