Overview
The TACO Marine COK-0004G-2 is a pair of solid glass outrigger rings made for smooth halyard line movement on sport fishing outrigger systems. Each ring has a 1-3/4" outside diameter and a 7/8" inside diameter, giving outrigger lines a clean running surface that helps reduce line creep while keeping the rigging simple.
These rings are a straightforward replacement or rigging component for boats using traditional outrigger halyard setups. The glass surface helps the line move without the grab or wear often associated with rougher contact points, which matters when lines are adjusted often during trolling, resetting spreads, or working in changing sea conditions.
Key features
- Solid glass construction gives the halyard line a smooth bearing surface.
- Helps limit line creep for better control of outrigger halyard position.
- 1-3/4" outside diameter and 7/8" inside diameter suit common outrigger line setups.
- Glass material lasts longer than plastic in this rigging application.
- Supplied as a pair for servicing or rigging two line contact points.
- Covered by a 1-year limited warranty.
Installation and use
These rings are used as part of an outrigger line rigging layout, where the halyard needs to move freely while staying controlled. They are well suited for fishing boats with outriggers that need clean line travel during setup, deployment, and adjustment of trolling spreads.
Before installation, confirm that the 1-3/4" outside diameter and 7/8" inside diameter match the existing rigging arrangement and line path. The ring should be installed so the halyard runs cleanly through the center without sharp angles, chafe points, or side loading that could affect line movement.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the rings and surrounding rigging with fresh water after saltwater use, especially when the boat is fished often or stored uncovered. During regular outrigger checks, inspect the line path for dirt, salt buildup, chips, or any rough edge that could affect halyard movement.
