Overview

The Garmin Pole Mount for MSC 10 is a 1-inch (outside diameter) pipe-threaded mount that secures an MSC 10 marine satellite compass on a standard pole while allowing the NMEA 2000 cable to be routed through the pipe.

It is a practical fit when the compass needs to sit up on a radar arch, hardtop, mast, or similar location for a clear view of the sky. Running the cable inside the pole keeps the install tidy and helps protect the connector from spray and snagging in high-traffic areas.

Variants

This pole mount is offered in two color options.

Color is the only change between variants; fit for the MSC 10 and the 1-inch pipe-threaded mounting style remain the same.

• 010-11082-10: Color White. Blends in on light-colored hardtops, masts, and fiberglass structures.
• 010-11082-30: Color Black. Matches dark arches and instrument pods and stays less visually prominent on many rigs.

Installation and setup

Thread the mount onto a 1-inch (outside diameter) pipe mount, feed the NMEA 2000 cable through the pole, and bring it out below the mounting surface to connect to your NMEA 2000 backbone with the correct T-connector. Leave a drip loop below deck and seal any deck penetrations in a way that matches your boat’s construction.

Once installed, place the MSC 10 where it has an open sky view and is not crowded by large metal structures or high-current wiring. Final setup and calibration are handled through the rest of the MSC 10 system.
