Overview
The Raymarine E70536-05 is a 12.1-inch Element 12 HV fishfinder/chartplotter bundle with an HV-100 transom transducer for boats that need GPS navigation, CHIRP fishfinding, side imaging, down imaging, and 3D sonar from one helm display. The Element 12 HV uses a sunlight-viewable IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolution and 1,500-nit illumination, giving the helm a large screen that remains readable during daytime fishing, cruising, and dockside setup.
This unit runs on a 12 V dc supply with an 8 V dc to 16 V dc operating range and is rated IPx6 and IPx7 for exposure to spray, rain, and washdowns. HyperVision sonar operates at 1.2 MHz for fine detail in shallower water, while standard 350 kHz CHIRP imaging and 200 kHz high CHIRP sonar support longer-range bottom tracking and fish targeting.
The E70536-05 package is supplied with the HV-100 transom transducer and no preloaded chart package, which keeps cartography choice separate from the display purchase. It suits fishing boats, center consoles, bay boats, and small cruisers where the owner wants a large non-touch display with keypad control, built-in GNSS, and NMEA 2000 connection for selected vessel data.
Key features
- 12.1-inch Element 12 HV display with 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution and 1,500-nit illumination for daylight helm visibility.
- Includes HV-100 transom transducer for HyperVision, DownVision, SideVision, RealVision 3D, and high CHIRP sonar channels.
- 1.2 MHz HyperVision imaging gives fine detail up to 125 ft, useful for reading structure, edges, vegetation, and fish-holding bottom changes.
- Standard 350 kHz CHIRP imaging supports DownVision to 600 ft and SideVision or RealVision 3D to 300 ft.
- High CHIRP 200 kHz sonar supports bottom tracking and fish targeting to 900 ft when conditions allow.
- Built-in GNSS receiver supports GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou for chartplotter positioning without an external antenna in typical installations.
- Runs on 12 V dc systems with an 8 V dc to 16 V dc operating range and 25 W approximate power consumption at 12 V dc.
- IPx6 and IPx7 waterproof rating helps the display handle exposed helm locations, spray, rain, and regular cockpit washdowns.
- One NMEA 2000 connection through the power cable allows compatible engine, tank, GPS, and heading data integration.
- MicroSDXC card slot supports compatible chart cards and user data storage.
Installation and setup
The Element 12 HV can be fitted on the supplied trunnion bracket or surface mounted at the helm. Surface mount dimensions for the Element 12 are 215.20 mm high by 357.20 mm wide, with a listed depth of 149.40 mm, so dash clearance and cable bend space should be checked before cutting or drilling.
The display uses a 15-pin HyperVision transducer connection for the HV-100 and a power cable with an integrated DeviceNet female NMEA 2000 connector. The power circuit should be protected with the specified 5 A inline fuse or 3 A thermal breaker, and connections should be kept dry, supported, and strain-relieved behind the helm.
Sonar and navigation use
On fishing boats, the large screen gives enough space to split views between chart, sonar, SideVision, DownVision, or RealVision 3D without crowding the page. The keypad interface is practical when hands are wet, when the boat is moving, or when the display is mounted where touch control is not the preferred option.
Because this version is supplied without preloaded cartography, the chart choice can be matched to the boating area and preferred mapping platform. The display supports Raymarine LightHouse charts, Navionics, and C-MAP chart options, with RealBathy personal sonar mapping and Navionics SonarCharts Live support for users who build their own bottom detail.
System compatibility
The unit is a good match for 12 V dc helm installations that need a standalone sonar and GPS display, with room to bring in selected NMEA 2000 data from compatible engines, tank sensors, and heading sensors. It does not include Ethernet or NMEA 0183 connections, so network planning should account for that before pairing it with other electronics.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
