Overview
The Garmin Navionics Scotland, West Coast (NVEU006R) is a regional electronic chart package for compatible Garmin chartplotters covering the western coast of Scotland and key waters in Northern Ireland. Coverage runs from Cape Wrath to Solway Firth, including the Isles of Lewis, Skye, Mull, Islay, and nearby areas, plus Northern Ireland from Londonderry to Belfast and Lough Neagh.
It is offered as either Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+, and you can get it as a preloaded microSD/SD card or as a download you install to your own microSD/SD card. Both chart levels include detailed nautical charting with features like depth range shading, shallow water shading, and Auto Guidance+ route suggestions; contour detail is shown up to 1' where the underlying data supports it. A one-year subscription is included for daily chart updates and downloadable content through the ActiveCaptain app, and charts or features downloaded during the subscription period remain usable after the year ends.
Key features
- Region coverage for Scotland’s west coast (Cape Wrath to Solway Firth) plus Northern Ireland waters from Londonderry to Belfast and Lough Neagh (NVEU006R).
- Works on compatible Garmin chartplotters with a microSD/SD card slot, with options for preloaded card or downloadable delivery.
- Included one-year subscription unlocks daily chart updates and downloadable content through the ActiveCaptain app.
- Auto Guidance+ route suggestions use your set safe depth and overhead clearance for planning a path through mapped waterways.
- Depth range shading supports up to 10 color-shaded target depth ranges for quick depth awareness.
- Shallow water shading and detailed contouring up to 1' where available help when navigating tighter coastal areas and approaches.
- Vision+ adds premium layers such as high-resolution relief shading, high-resolution satellite imagery, aerial photography, SideScan Images, 3D FishEye view, and 3D MarinerEye view.
Variants
This chart region is offered in four configurations that pair chart level (Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+) with delivery format (microSD/SD or Download).
The microSD/SD options come on a preprogrammed card, while the Download options are installed to your own microSD/SD card using Garmin Express. All configurations include a one-year subscription for daily updates and downloadable layers through the ActiveCaptain app.
- 010-C1234-00: Garmin Navionics Vision+, microSD/SD. The chart is supplied on a preloaded card that is used by inserting it into the chartplotter’s card slot for this coverage area.
- 010-D1836-00: Garmin Navionics Vision+, Download. The chart is installed to your own microSD/SD card with Garmin Express before using that card in the chartplotter.
- 010-C1234-20: Garmin Navionics+, microSD/SD. This version focuses on the core Navionics+ chart feature set for the region on a preloaded card.
- 010-D1836-20: Garmin Navionics+, Download. This version is installed to your own microSD/SD card with Garmin Express, then used in the chartplotter.
Installation and setup
For preloaded microSD/SD cards, installation is typically as simple as inserting the card into the chartplotter and selecting the chart layers you want to view. For Download versions, Garmin Express installs the chart to a microSD/SD card, and only one chart can be installed to a single card.
If you plan to use Garmin Express for installs or updates, use a blank microSD/SD card because the process can erase and reformat the card. Updates and downloadable layers are handled through the ActiveCaptain app while the subscription is active.
Compatibility and fit
This is cartography for compatible Garmin chartplotters, not a general-purpose file for third-party displays. Make sure your chartplotter supports Garmin Navionics+ and Garmin Navionics Vision+ charts and has an appropriate microSD or SD card slot for the format you select.
Updates and downloaded layers
The included one-year subscription is what enables daily updates and access to downloadable content through ActiveCaptain. When the subscription expires, the chart data already on the card and any layers downloaded during the active period remain usable, but new updates and additional content downloads require an active subscription.
Who it suits
This region is a strong match for skippers running coastal passages along Scotland’s west coast where current chart detail and depth awareness matter, as well as crews hopping between islands and harbors. It also suits anglers who lean on depth range shading and fine contour detail to spot structure and set up drifts in familiar grounds.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
