Overview
The Raymarine A80160 is a 400 mm adapter cable that links a RayNet female connection to a SeaTalk HS female connection for Raymarine marine electronics networks. It is used when an existing waterproof, locking SeaTalk HS cable needs to connect into a newer RayNet multifunction display or RayNet network device.
This short adapter is especially useful during electronics refits where older G-Series, E-Wide, C-Wide, or E-Classic MFD cable runs are already installed behind the helm. At about 15 inches long, it gives enough reach for a clean transition without adding unnecessary cable slack inside a console, electronics box, or chart table installation.
Key features
- 400 mm cable length, approximately 15 inches, for close-range network transitions behind the helm or inside an electronics cabinet.
- RayNet female to SeaTalk HS female configuration for connecting legacy Raymarine SeaTalk HS cabling to newer RayNet equipment.
- Supports reuse of existing waterproof, locking SeaTalk HS cables from compatible Raymarine display networks.
- Suitable for Raymarine G-Series, E-Wide, C-Wide, and E-Classic MFD upgrade paths where the installed network cable needs to remain in place.
- Helps keep network routing tidy during refits by avoiding a full cable replacement when the existing SeaTalk HS run is still serviceable.
Compatibility and fit
This adapter belongs in a Raymarine Ethernet networking layout, not in a NMEA 2000 backbone, power circuit, or transducer connection. It is intended for RayNet and SeaTalk HS network cabling, so the connector style at each end should be checked against the display, network switch, or existing installed cable before ordering.
The female-to-female layout matters. It is made for situations where the boat already has a waterproof, locking SeaTalk HS cable in place and the new equipment side uses RayNet. For many refits, that means less time pulling cable through tight helm spaces, overhead liners, or cable conduits.
Installation and routing
Install the adapter where it will not be strained by vibration, steering movement, hatch access, or service work around the helm. The short length is best used as a transition lead near the display or network device, with the existing SeaTalk HS cable and the RayNet equipment both supported so the connectors are not carrying cable weight.
Keep the connection area dry and accessible where possible, even when using waterproof locking network cables. A little extra service loop and proper cable support can make future display removal, software service, or network troubleshooting much easier.
Use cases on board
This cable is a good match for boat owners, installers, and refit yards updating Raymarine displays while keeping compatible SeaTalk HS cabling already run through the vessel. It is most useful on helm upgrades, flybridge refits, and navigation station work where network compatibility is the main issue rather than cable length.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
