Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD VEU466S is an electronic chart for compatible Garmin chartplotters, covering the Mediterranean coast from Puerta de la Selva, Spain to San Remo, Italy, including Golfe du Lion and ports such as Marseille, Toulon, and Cannes.
It adds detail that matters when you are running tight coastlines and approaching unfamiliar harbors, including depth range shading with up to 10 ranges and depth contours as detailed as 1 foot where available. You also get photo-based views for many ports and marinas, plus MarinerEye and FishEye perspectives for a 3-D look at the surrounding area.
Auto Guidance can calculate a suggested route using the depth and overhead clearance values you enter on the chartplotter. It is a planning tool and does not replace safe navigation or local knowledge.
Key features
- Coverage from Puerta de la Selva (Spain) to San Remo (Italy), including Golfe du Lion, Marseille, Toulon, and Cannes
- Depth Range Shading with up to 10 depth ranges to help you keep an eye on target depths
- Shallow Water Shading that can be set to a user-defined depth for quick visual avoidance
- Depth contours as detailed as 1 foot where available for a clearer picture of bottom shape
- MarinerEye and FishEye views for 3-D perspectives above and below the waterline
- Aerial photography for many ports, harbors, and marinas to support close-in piloting
- Auto Guidance suggested routing based on your chosen depth and overhead clearance settings (planning only)
- Requires a compatible Garmin chartplotter and an SD or microSD card slot, depending on format and device
Variants
This chart is offered in two delivery formats so you can match how you prefer to load cartography on board.
The difference is the format (preprogrammed card vs. computer download and install). Coverage and chart content for VEU466S remain tied to the same chart area.
- 010-C0810-00: Format microSD/SD. The chart comes ready to use on a card that installs directly in the chartplotter card slot.
- 010-D0408-00: Format Download. The chart is installed to a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express before the card is inserted into the chartplotter.
Installation and setup
For the microSD/SD version, power down the chartplotter, insert the card fully into the correct slot, then restart and select the chart layer from your map settings. Keep the card seated in the unit while navigating so the plotter can draw chart detail smoothly.
For the download version, install the chart to a microSD/SD card from a computer using Garmin Express, then move that card to the chartplotter. Plan on dedicating one card per chart, since only one chart can be installed to a single microSD/SD card.
Compatibility and fit
Confirm your Garmin model supports BlueChart g3 Vision and that you have the correct card type for your hardware (SD vs. microSD). Some chart layers and views can depend on the chartplotter model and software level, so it is worth checking the device menu for supported chart features before you depart.
Use on board
This coverage makes sense for boats cruising the French Mediterranean coast and the Ligurian Sea corridor, especially when port approaches and nearshore route planning are part of the daily routine. It is a solid match for skippers who want chart detail plus photo-based harbor views on a dedicated plotter at the helm.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
