Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 HD Navigation Chart - HXAE009R is an electronic chart region for compatible Garmin chartplotters, covering waters around Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia on either a preprogrammed card or as a download.
It includes practical navigation content like spot soundings, depth contours, tides, currents, navigation aids, and port and marina detail. You also get Depth Range Shading for up to 10 depth ranges, plus contour detail shown at up to 1-foot intervals where that data is available.
Shallow Water Shading lets you highlight a user-set depth so shoal areas stand out quickly on screen. If you choose the BlueChart g3 Vision version, the chart adds extra viewing modes and routing tools on compatible plotters.
Key features
- Two chart tiers available: BlueChart g3 (HXAE009R) and BlueChart g3 Vision (VAE009R), both labeled Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

- BlueChart g3 Vision variants add 3D perspectives (MarinerEye and FishEye) and Auto Guidance for route suggestions on compatible plotters.

Coverage and region notes
BlueChart g3 (HXAE009R) includes detailed coverage of the southwestern portion of the Malay Peninsula through Singapore and the eastern side of Sumatra Island. It also includes additional detailed charts around areas such as Kuantan, Jakarta, and Merak, plus Christmas, Keeling, and Cocos Islands, with broader coverage of Java, Celebes, the southern half of Borneo and surrounding islands east to Timor.
BlueChart g3 Vision (VAE009R) expands the region to cover the entire Malay Peninsula, plus areas including Thailand, Cambodia, and southern Vietnam (including Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta), along with Brunei and Indonesia west of Timor. Island coverage includes Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi and Borneo, and also the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as well as Christmas, Keeling, and Cocos Islands.
Compatibility and setup
These charts are made for Garmin chartplotters that support BlueChart g3 cartography and read charts from a memory card slot. If your unit only accepts full-size SD, the SD card variants include an adapter for the included microSD card.
For download variants, plan on using a computer with a card reader so the chart can be installed to a memory card with Garmin Express. Once loaded, the card is used in the plotter the same way as a preprogrammed card.
Use on board
This region suits skippers working busy traffic lanes and port approaches around Singapore, plus coastal cruising along the Malay Peninsula and crossings to Sumatra and nearby islands. It is also a good match for anglers working channels, reef edges, and harbor approaches who want finer contour detail where it is available.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
